It was for all accounts, but it was because of the EU thing, that's what I remember. If you didn't sign in and approve of the changes, your account would be deleted. The posts wouldn't - we'd lose so much of the forum - but it wouldn't be that clear who posted what. If you find post quotes, though, they'll still have the original account name in them.
