Hollywood ripoff video

I knew of a few of those (like The Matrix, which I happen to think is better than the original GitS movie) but that re-ignited my interest in watching Perfect Blue and Paprika. Both have been on my list for quite some time, but now my interest is even more piqued.

That aside, that video also touches on why I do watch anime. You get a lot of unusual premises and ideas coming out of the genre that make me look forward to seeing what people come up with next.

Both those movies are definitely worth a watch. Paprika would probably be my choice of the two. They're both Satoshi Kon movies too.

Exactly the reason I watch anime, tbh. While Hollywood is busy working on it's what, 3rd(?), Spider-man reboot, you're getting more interesting, daring, unusual and unique things from Japan in the form of anime. Could you imagine Hollywood doing something like, say, Zankyou no Terror? Exactly how the anime was done too? I think not lol Instead, we got the latest Fantastic 4 xD

To be honest, for every Zankyou no Terror we get 20 Magic High School With A Tsundere Lead Girl grade pieces of shit.
