Well that was unexpected.

At the rate they're gutting DK's we're going to be a completely different class.

Wonder what PvP ramifications this will have, no blood stance when getting tunnelled is gonna be rough.

Edit : The uses I personally have for off spec presences currently are - When Blood / Frost Spec - Unholy Presence run speed as a gap closer. (Tight on time when offtanking mannoroth mythic add and you need to get the hell outta the raid with 13-14 stacks of the debuff? A quick swap to unholy pres + death's advance often just does the job).

When Frost / Unholy - Blood presence for pushing the max HP up just enough to survive solo soaking a black hole on Xul'Horac when combined with AMS(100% absorb glyph) + IBF.

That's just off the top of my head, they're there as an extra level of either protection or movement speed in most cases. Never seen a need to drop my threat level as blood as some of the tweets suggested, but I can kinda see why that's also a potential reason for keeping them.

Not happy with the change, even if they somehow bake it into the baseline, it's just a thing we've had from the start that feels iconic to DKs.

As blood it definitely isn't any harder, looking at the preview. Just because daddy blizzard said it's harder doesn't actually make it so.

If this is the case I don't wanna see warriors keep def stance, druids keep bear form either.

Why would they even remove our stances, without blood presence we're gonna get oneshot in PvP, literally oneshot.

Hmm, I agree... I've played my DK as my main for years now, so I'm not gonna up and quit just from x amount of changes without trying the class out in the next xpac... (or the beta, should I be lucky and get in on it)

I'm confused here. So they are getting rid of Frost, Unholy and Blood presence altogether? If so are all three specs being merged into one? Or are they getting rid of stance switching? So Frost can only be Frost, Unholy can only be Unholy and Blood can only be Blood? How the hell can DK's be tanks w/out Blood stats?

Seriously, one of the twitter comments was: "Please fire the guy who made that decision. We don't need classes that feel the exact same as one another." Aren't presences just glorified Warrior stances?

Come on guys, presences had key aspects of the DK tied to them. They're not just going to remove them and tell players "Haha! Now you get nothing! You lost all your presence benefits with nothing to make up for it! Keep paying your subs! Haha!" (That was a joke for the record, take it with a grain of salt.)

What, I used Blood as unholy if the tank died in dungeons so that a caster didn't have to take damage or something. I might just not play DK anymore, have to see how it will actually turn out

Need movement speed? Pop into Unholy. Need to tank while the real tank is being ressed or tank in an emergency? Blood Presence.

Not being focused in pvp? Frost/Unholy. Being focused? Pop into Blood Presence.

The only time u ever changed presence was to run back quicker after dieing.

big deal. i normally sat in one presence anyways. if i was in blood or frost i might switch to unholy to get from one boss room to the next a little faster.

but like every other change so far, don't throw a hissy fit without knowing all of the changes. wait and see.

Presence switching happens a lot in pvp, less so in pve.
