That reminded me of the original cinematic. Like, it's meant to make you feel like you understand there are civilians and the heroes are separate, bigger characters but at the same time, not really my cup of tea. Also the timing on the end bit was kind of awkward as we saw [the event] then saw [what he did] in that order even though it had to happen in the other.
Soothing Mist:"Healing them for a minor amount every 0.5 sec, until you take any other action."
Jade Serpent Statue: "The statue will also begin casting Soothing Mist on your target. healing for 50% as much as yours. "
[What's half of minor?]
"Statue casts Soothing Mist at a nearby ally for toddler healing."
btw, the childs voice is damn annoying.

No sombra? Did the event end in the US?
It was solid and enjoyable, but not as strong as Alive or Dragons, I think. I get why they saved this one for last -- Morrison was the leader of Overwatch and all -- but they maybe could have led with this and closed with Recall and it would have created a better arc for the "season."
Also, the intense speculation about Sombra being revealed in the short sort of cut the legs out from under it.
That said, really dug the character designs for Los Muertos, and the music was excellent. Makes me want to listen to some Rodrigo y Gabriela.
I think the main difference between this and the other shorts is that there's only one hero in this one. And one of the most enigmatic ones. He just grunts a lot and says three cliched one-liners.
Had he been fighting against, say, Junkrat and Roadhog, McCree or Reaper, it would have had more variety and most of the lines wouldn't have been delivered by a boring child or her mother.
Probably the weakest of all the cinematics but it wasnt bad, it was still enjoyable, Whoever does the voice of Soldier 76 seems to orgasm every line, I have a huge smile on my face whenever he talks.
Also Murloc purse stole the show :P
I love Warcraft, I dislike WoW
Unsubbed since January 2021, now a Warcraft fan from a distance
That was probably my favorite one of them all. After he took that blast, I was half expecting him to drop a healing circle saying "Heal up here!!!"
Well they sure as hell give things like disney run for they money with that quality of animation. Tho this short was probably least eventful of them all.
Still, seeing them makes me wonder why the hell did they bothered with real actors for warcraft movie.
It was good. It certainly portrayed a very dark side of Solider 76 which I enjoyed.
I really hope these are something they plan on continuing in the future.

I would imagine the little girl is probably the reason he answers the recall. But I agree, would have been cool to maybe have those 2 tie in.
It does feel a bit weak following after Dragons, which was a mini-epic and a very emotional story of two connected characters, whereas this is just S76. I did feel like it was a good showing for him. Kind of wanted more though.
I hope they don't stop doing animations after launch, they've been so good.
P.S. My favourite comment under the video: "I can't wait for the Bastion short, where he sits in one corner for 6 mins".
So when's that going to be on the BNet store?
I dunno, I liked it more than Winston's.

Yeah I was thinking "that guy who took a Helix rocket to the face isn't going to be wandering around with cartoon birds around his head in the next scene".

I assumed it was something significant in their past that we're yet to see.
Possible!
