So the Trump faithful agree that Trump is guilty then? They spent months going on about how Bill Clinton was absolutely guilty since he settled his lawsuit AFTER two dismissals and a third trial loomed, and for a pittance at that.
And here Trump is settling for tens of millions of dollars to avoid the trial all together.
Remember this settlement includes no admission of guilt. So technically he never defrauded thousands of students.
As far as I can tell, this is just to settle SOME of the lawsuits around Trump University, isn't it? Could he possible be opening himself up to a ton of other lawsuits?
If so, he had better get that blind trust to work on sorting out some prime deals for his other companies in the meantime, otherwise Trump as a brand could be in trouble. It's just a shame that he won't be allowed to use his new position to generate opportunities for his companies.
Drain the swamp my ass.
When challenging a Kzin, a simple scream of rage is sufficient. You scream and you leap.

Yeah, he settled because he knew he was guilty, and would lose."I could have settled this case numerous times, but I don't want to settle cases when we're right. I don't believe in it. And when you start settling cases, you know what happens? Everybody sues you because you get known as a settler. One thing about me, I am not known as a settler,"
He can just make Mexico pay for it.
You're getting exactly what you deserve.
He wants to get those lawsuits out of the way.

TBH, everyone that did even a little bit of checking already knew that he settled lawsuits all the time (seriously, having over 4,000 lawsuits is extremely abnormal for a business person). People thought that the best way to drain the swamp of Wil-o-the-wisps, trolls and goblins was to elect full on hydra.

Over half of those lawsuits are Trump litigating against others, with over 1,600 being Trump companies suing over unpaid gambling debts.
All that shows is Americans are very litigious, which is hardly a shocking revelation and the number isn't amazingly high considering it covers 1976-2016.
Most businessmen don't have anywhere near the 500+ number of businesses that Trump does.
Just over half of those lawsuits were Trump companies suing, 2,100 out of 4,100. For someone primarily involved in real estate, having hundreds of personal injury lawsuits filed against them over a 40 year period is not all that surprising in the US.
So no, the number of businesses that he has is an important factor, as is the sectors he deals in.
Just how many law-suits Bill Gates or Microsoft has faced? Warren Buffet and Berkshire Hathway? How about Walmart and family? Koch industries since they run like 100 different businesses? Real estate must the shadiest business out there if you end up with 5000 lawsuits in 40 years. No wonder Trump enjoys it. King of crooks he is.

Which stage of denial are you? Trump tried his best to had these cases dismissed. In Texas and Florida he payed kickbacks. California refused. Joke is that there are more pending court cases against him at the moment. He is not going to "settle" anything he can win. You just watch.
The man is a consummate bullshitter. He is hardly a paragon of consistency, if it suits him to say that settling is an admission of guilt, then he will say that and if it doesn't suit him, then he will say the opposite.
You can use quotes from Trump to show he is both for and against just about everything.

4,100 lawsuits, of which 2,100 where he is the plaintiff, so basically 2,000 lawsuits against him.
Microsoft will have had far more than 2,000 lawsuits against them, purely due to the difference in customer base sizes that Microsoft have compared to Trump's businesses. Small businesses suing over failed software, employment cases, anti-trust cases, patent infringement, etc.
Those size of companies are always in litigation against someone or other.
Denial of what? Companies settle for a number of reasons, we regularly pass on instructions for lawyers to settle from clients, who I know aren't liable.Which stage of denial are you?
