I've noticed that threads tend to be a lot trashier during the weekend, and also that the rules are enforced with a lot more 'oomph'. It's an odd contrast.
Notwithstanding the reasons, this might make for a good addendum to the stickies. I'm not just saying this for myself, but also for all these newcomers who might not know what they're getting themselves into.

We have moderators all around the world who work in many different fields. Coverage isn't always possible for every single second of the day. Just report anything that is an issue, and we'll take care of it.
