Not sure if it was covered, but one of the most egregious things Trump said during his shitshow today was that scientists were advising him to relocate passengers on a cruise ship who tested positive for the coronavirus (Which was another thing that the Trump Administration bungled) but that he doesn't want to because it would make the total number of cases of coronavirus go up in the US.
Yes, Trump really said this. Much to the chagrin of our resident Trump supporters, this is not fake news."I like the numbers being where they are. I don't need to have the numbers double because of one ship" -- Trump explains that he doesn't want to let people off the Grand Princess cruise ship because he doesn't want the number of coronavirus cases in the country to go up"
It's disgusting that Trump is putting his re-election ahead of the good of American citizens and the country.

"If you are ever asking yourself 'Is Trump lying or is he stupid?', the answer is most likely C: All of the Above" - Seth Meyers
By contrast, Pence has been refreshingly frank.
About that cruise ship: yesterday's story on the topic at least says there were
3,500 people on the ship
21 positive tests, 19 of whom are crew members -- which is really concerning, because it suggests they could have gotten it and/or had it on another cruise, and there are more cases they've infected who disembarked.
24 tests came back negative and 1 inconclusive.
You're asking about the above ratio. Best info I could find about the tests.
Pence or Pence's team steered the ship to the abandoned port decimated in Batman V Superman, then flat-out told the public useful information. He did not threaten to build a Wall around the fucking ship.
It's increasingly strange: despite Pence treating social media like a leper and Trump treating it like the last life preserver on the Titanic, Pence seems to know that this is the 21st goddam steam century, it's the information age, and that you can't suppress this shit. So when we add 2 more deaths, in Florida this time, he doesn't try to suppress the info. He doesn't handwave it, "just one case, April Lol". Near as I can tell, he's actually being honest and efficient.

Unrelated: This extensive Axios article details the Mulvaney situation. According to the article, Mulvaney went on his annual family trip and Trump fired him for being out of town during the coronavirus --
"Didn't he put Pence in charge?"
Stop trying to use logic for a Trump decision.
"Did Mulvaney say anything about his firing that was uniquely Trumpian?"
-- actual fucking quoteI did not find out via tweet
Wishing people to die from an illness is beyond fucked up, even if those people suck.
I don't mean poor people suck, either.

One thing I noticed today and called a co worker out for it is the lack of Anti-Govt conspiracy theories on all the right wing conspiracy sites like infowars and such.
No mention of fema camps....military "prisons" I mean quarantine bases...lizard people...…
imagine something like this was on Hillary's head.....
Buh Byeeeeeeeeeeee !!
Erik fucking Prince. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/07/u...t-veritas.html
Good thing O keefe is a useless retard, but id put good money on Prince having bad fucking coup plans knocking around.
Letting Prince a paramilitary leader knock about is bad fucking news.
“We have it totally under control,” Trump told CNBC. “It’s one person coming in from China, and we have it under control.”
“It’s going to be fine,” the president continued.
The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA. We are in contact with everyone and all relevant countries. CDC & World Health have been working hard and very smart. Stock Market starting to look very good to me!

Been a while since I looked at Project Veritas, apparently some Democrats are planning a coup as well.

Everyone's Brown shirt, frat boy making light of the coronavirus wearing a gas mask (picture in link above) on House floor.
Today one of his constituents died from coronavirus.
Democrats are the best! I will never ever question a Democrat again. I LOVE the Democrats!
Uh, well, THIS is pretty interesting:
Double-Digit approval rating drop for Iowan Senator Ernst (R)
I'm not optimistic enough to say this will translate to a Dem win in November, but it looks like things aren't as sewn up for the GOP as they would like. I have to imagine their predilection for propping up Trump is finally starting to really hurt them in some areas.

First DC resident positive test.
First CPAC member positive test.
Michigan farmers regret their choice to barely turn the state to Trump. I can't imagine other Michigan industries like him much, either.
Chapter 12 bankruptices continue to rise and forseen to rise further.
Farm bankruptcy is the highest seen in almost 15 years in Nebraska.
The Dean Foods bankruptcy is in further trouble. Specifically, because Dean Foods is so big -- we've talked about them before, yes I'm self-quoting, I'm not sorry -- that whoever buys them could immediately hit anti-trust laws.
Iowa dairy farmers, struggling to meet costs, start renting out their barns as weekend getaways.
Borden Dairy files for bankruptcy.David Brown, dairy program manager for the Iowa Department of Agriculture, said they’re battling low milk prices, large supplies, and lost export markets. On top of that many consumers have taken traditional milk off the menu, especially for breakfast.
Ironically named Lucky's Farmers Market in Kentucky bankrupt, owning $1 million and owing $10 million.
Dairies continue to decline, 780 closed in Wisconsin alone in 2019.
And that's despite the most recent Trump socialist farm bailout mostly going to the states listed above.
The GAO reports that coal companies have been going bankrupt so fast, that hundreds of millions of workers' disability claims (coal mining is dangerous) is now being paid by US taxpayers.
And all of these articles are from the last week.
Trump's words and actions had consequences. So did voting for him.
