Sure. Have I ever implied that people shouldn't? I'm definitely not one of the "don't politicize this!" people. The whole thing is inherently political - any choice to respond, not respond, say "trust the experts", suggest that economics is or isn't important, and so on. There is no way to be purely apolitical in discussing the government response to it.

I do tend to object to the dumbest criticisms and there are plenty of those here, but criticism of COVID-19 responses is fine by me.

Businesses are built to be lean in this economy and, for the bigger ones, they can rely on getting bailed out by the government. The government...doesn't have a safety net, they are the safety net. My SO got thiers yesterday, last name is outside the A-M range, hit their credit union in the morning.
Mine hit this morning, at Generic_Large_bank company, mine is inside the A-M range.
The Credit Union seems to get the money into the account NOW, like paychecks on Thursday even though payday is Friday
Bank gets my paycheck Thursday, hits my account Friday.

Second round went out Monday to be credit by today-Friday. My Ex got it and she is over the range of the first bunch.

IRS.gov updated their site you can now check your status and give new bank account information if you got it.

• This exact scenario is a fear I've heard from locals.
