Well they are right. The disease is out of control. Confirmed cases are reaching new highs each day, and given that its a 2-3 week lagging indicator the true picture is far far worse than that. In another month its going to be a full blown pandemic.

What I'm saying is that since Trump's Tweets have been determined to be "policy", Twitter finds itself in a tricky situation dealing with them. Deleting his Tweets or banning Trump might put them in a legally sticky position since apparently his little toilet rants are somehow "official" communications. This is why they've finally resorted to putting labels and disclaimers on his more problematic Tweets instead of a) blocking them, which may cause issues or b) doing nothing, which would be within their rights.

Once Trump gets booted out of office, however, his Tweets will no longer be protected as "official communications from the POTUS" and he'll be treated exactly like all of the other whining little GOP shitbirds who get temporary bans for saying heinous shit on there while crying about "MUH FIRST AMEN'MENT!".

Well, it looks like the US will be setting a record in new cases again tonight. It's already just shy of 40k with another 2-3 hours before the final reports of the day come in. California and Texas have both typically had a couple thousand to add at the end of the evening so even if fuck(ing) Florida hadn't screwed the pooch we'd still likely be shooting past 40k.

EDIT: It passed 40k while I was typing that last sentence. The next two weeks are going to be very tense with an eye towards the death tally.

Since the total cases per day seems to be stretching to 50k in U.S., then the death toll should also dramatically rise - unless we're seeing new treatments and/or procedures. If the U.S. re-locks down, what's the time line for an actual reopening? I'm seeing in Europe they took 6-10 weeks.

I fully expect it to go above 1k per day again. I DON'T expect it to go into the 2k-3k territory that was hinted at a month or so ago. Mainly because treatment has advanced to some degree and the ones getting infected now appear to be younger overall, so there's probably at least a bit better chance of the critically ill surviving. Florida is full of retirees, but they seem to be keeping themselves locked up tight. It's looking like it's the party-goers that are screwing themselves over there.

It's not that Trump will beat Biden in the debates. As you say, Trump was DESTROYED in the debates against Hillary. It's that every time Biden makes a tiny gaffe it will be blown up into epic proportions by those who desperately need Trump to win. "See? YOUR candidate is a senile fuck TOO!" they'll say without a hint of irony. And that works, as we've seen the past several years.
