    https://www.huffpost.com/entry/911-c...b6ba9eb6eb368d

Because Falwell Jr. has been such a huge Trump booster this fits here, but...man he's a fuckin disaster.

One week after Reuters published an explosive report on an alleged sexual and financial relationship between Jerry Falwell Jr., his wife and a Miami man named Giancarlo Granda, responders were called to the Falwells’ house in Bedford County, Virginia.

According to records and 911 audio obtained by HuffPost, on the night of Aug. 30, Jerry Falwell Jr. was intoxicated and apparently injured; his wife, Becki Falwell, described “a lot of blood right now.”

Alcohol use lurked behind the series of scandals that led Jerry Falwell Jr. to resign as president of Liberty University last month. He initially announced a leave of absence from Liberty, a private evangelical university founded by his father, Jerry Falwell Sr., on Aug. 7 after he posted a racy photo on Instagram with his pants unzipped, and his arm around a woman with her midriff exposed. A dark drink was in his hand, which he later claimed was “black water” that was “a prop only.” Liberty University stringently forbids alcohol use by students.

Jerry Falwell Jr. resigned as president of Liberty on Aug. 25, one day after Reuters published a story on Granda’s allegations he had a yearslong sexual relationship with Becki Falwell, with the approval of her husband, and that also led to some interlocking business relationships. In other news accounts, Granda claimed that the Falwells’ “lavish lifestyle consisted of heavy drinking and going to nightclubs, which is strictly prohibited by the honor code that they expect everyone else to follow.”

On Aug. 31, Liberty’s board of trustees announced a comprehensive investigation by an outside firm of Jerry Falwell Jr.’s tenure as president. Earlier that morning, around 2:30 a.m., Bedford County dispatchers received a 911 call from Becki Falwell.

She described being at church around 11 p.m. and receiving a call from her husband, who said he was bleeding after a fall down the stairs. Finding the doors locked when she got home, she used a chair to break through the back door.

The dispatcher asked whether her husband had been drinking alcohol; Becki Falwell said “yes.” When asked if he had been drinking “heavily,” she said, “I’m not going to answer that question.”

The dispatcher explained that alcohol thins the blood and could account for the excessive bleeding, and restated the question.

“The more I tell you the name, the more you’re going to understand why we’re not talking to you right now,” Becki Falwell said. Dispatch logs, obtained by HuffPost via a public records request, state that “He won’t let her take him to the hospital as he is stubborn. Caller was not forthcoming.”

But medics and emergency responders arrived at the residence later that night. A responder observed lacerations on Jerry Falwell Jr.’s face, including under his left eye, across the bridge of his nose, and above both his right and left eyes. The responder also recorded in a report that Jerry Falwell Jr. said he hit his head on a trash can, and that there was “blood in the area he indicated” as well as “empty alcohol containers.” The officer also noted “Jerry had slurred and slowed speach (sic) and would repeat things already asked.”

Neither the Falwells nor a lawyer reportedly hired by Jerry Falwell Jr. responded to phone calls, voice messages or emails from HuffPost requesting comment. An email to Liberty University’s spokesman also went unanswered.

The son of an influential televangelist and megachurch co-founder, Jerry Falwell Jr. had attracted attention for incendiary political commentary. In a 2015 speech, for example, he bragged about his concealed carry permit and said if more people had them, “we could end those Muslims before they walked in and killed them.”

Many evangelicals forgo alcohol, which Jerry Falwell Sr. called “the worst, most offensive drug in American society.” The Liberty University code of conduct prohibits students from drinking — whether on or off campus, before or after age 21. The school requires students to submit to random breath, blood and urine tests to enforce the ban.

Jerry Falwell Jr. was one of the earliest prominent evangelicals to back Donald Trump for president, and campaigned aggressively for him in the 2016 election.

The Wall Street Journal reported last week that “Former school administrators said staff and donors complained that he showed up to campus appearing drunk or smelling of alcohol.” Jerry Falwell Jr. told the Journal he did not come to campus drunk, though noted alcohol was not banned for faculty.

But Jerry Falwell Jr. had long appeared anxious about his public image as it related to alcohol use. Politico asked him last month, on Aug. 21, about photos on the internet from 2014 of him partying at a Miami nightclub. He claimed the photos were “likely photo-shopped.” However, the Politico report says several Liberty staffers claim that when the photos came out several years ago, Jerry Falwell Jr. urged Liberty’s head of IT to help him deprioritize the photos in Google search results.
    Questions...

    1. Why were the doors all locked if she didn't have a key, herself? Why on earth did she have to use a chair to break through the back door?

    2. Holy shit, I'm not gonna hate on Falwell if he's battling alcoholism but like...given his faith one wouldn't think he'd overindulge. I guess he took the investigation news pretty bad.

    3. Why was his wife unwilling to be more forthcoming with the 911 operators when asked?

    4. Seriously, how fuckin drunk was he?

Just an amusing sidebar in the story of the downfall of Jerry Falwell Jr., who appears to be a fan of cuckolding. NOT THAT THERE IS ANYTYHING WRONG WITH THAT AS LONG AS EVERYONE IS A CONSENTING ADULT.

the same people who say "hillary lost because she focused on issues that only her heavily online base cared about"
are now telling us how great and genius it is that trump is targeting the evil of schools teaching slavery, do you think people in the suburbs really think history class makes kids left wing? I remember public high school history and it was basically just a recollection of facts that happened..in history, no agenda, yeah u learn about some fucked up things the US did, which in general may make people say, hey lets not do some of these things.

So, Hitler Youth is trending on Twitter with Trump's signing of an executive order I don't think he can actually enforce. It is to "establish a commission to promote patriotic education", AKA forced patriotism like the Hitler Youth in the 30s before WW2 was started.

Then you have morons like this dipshit: https://twitter.com/MichaelCoudrey/s...96649633275904

Claiming that BLM and Antifa are fascists and the Hitler Youth of our generation without evidence. Didn't know who this moron blue checked guy was til I looked at his apparent IMDB page where he is an anti-abortion moron. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm10777082/ Apparently affiliated with the "Unplanned" propaganda film.

The fucking frightening part is that reality isn't too far fetched. Trump winning in 2020 would start that trip down the road of revisionist history. And WHITEwashing slavery would be top on that list. We did it for them...they would say.

"So you're telling me no matter how much I lower the bar, he'll still find a way to slink under it?"

"Oh, honey, you still think there's a bar."

I find that sentiment applies equally to Trump.

I see Don Lemon and raise Politifact.

Here’s a fact-checked recap of some of Trump’s claims on the coronavirus, his own record and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s plans.

"We have 20% of the cases because of the fact that we do much more testing. If we wouldn’t do testing, you wouldn’t have cases. You would have very few cases."

This is wrong. Testing reveals cases if they are there to be found. And sure, it’s true that countries vary in the number of tests they administer. But to compare apples to apples, a key yardstick is the percentage of tests that come back positive. Through much of July and into August, the U.S. had a positivity rate over 7%. It has come down to 5.8%, but that still puts it in the middle of the pack globally. Germany’s rate is 0.8%. The United Kingdom is at 1.3%.

We’ve rated that claim False and Pants on Fire, depending on how Trump has said it.

"Yesterday Dr. (Anthony) Fauci said that we were, we’ve done a really good job, and we didn’t mislead anybody. He came out with that statement, which I appreciate."

This is a mixed bag. After tape emerged of Trump telling Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward that he downplayed the virus, infectious-disease chief Anthony Fauci told Fox News that he "didn’t get the sense that he (Trump) was distorting anything."

But more recently, Fauci told MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell that he didn’t go along with Trump’s characterization that the country was "rounding the curve" with the coronavirus.

"I have to disagree with that because, if you look at the thing that you just mentioned, the statistics, Andrea, they’re disturbing," Fauci said Sept. 11. "We’re plateauing at around 40,000 cases a day and the deaths are around 1,000."

"I didn’t say one way or the other" that Chinese President Xi Jinping was doing a good job handling the new coronavirus.

This is false. Trump said Feb. 23 that Xi "is doing a very good job."

On Feb. 18, Trump said Xi is "doing a very good job with a very, very tough situation." He said pretty much the same thing Feb. 10.

"If you look at Dr. Fauci’s original statement, you look at a lot of people, CDC, you look at a lot of people’s original statement, they said very strongly, George, don’t wear masks. Then all of a sudden they went to wear masks."

This needs context. Early on, Fauci said masks would not prevent all virus particles from going through, and that use of masks was more important for people already infected. Some of his comments came when the country faced a severe shortage of the N-95 masks used by health care workers. Given the shortage of masks, the general public ranked last behind doctors and nurses, and people who are infected, Fauci said.

"When we say you don't need to wear a mask, what we're really saying is make sure you prioritize it first for the people who need the mask," Fauci said in a March 27 interview. "In a perfect world, if you had all the masks you wanted, then you could get some degree of protection, but make sure you prioritize it well."

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention changed its guidance on masks on April 3 to recommend that nearly everyone wear a facial covering in public and in areas where social distancing isn’t possible.

"Joe Biden said I was xenophobic because I put the ban on, and I thought that was a very unfair, and by the way he’s totally taken that back."

It’s Mostly False that Biden called him xenophobic for issuing a travel ban, and it’s False that Biden has "taken that back," since Biden did not explicitly called the travel restrictions xenophobic. Trump in May claimed that Biden wrote a letter of apology, but we found no record of such a letter and neither Trump, the White House nor Trump’s reelection campaign substantiated the claim.

Says that after he announced travel restrictions in January, "Nancy Pelosi was standing in the streets of Chinatown in San Francisco late, a month, more than a month after that, saying this thing’s totally exaggerated. Come, you know, to try and build up tourism."

This needs context. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi encouraged people to visit San Francisco’s Chinatown businesses in late February — at a time when there were no reports of active coronavirus cases in the city. There were 21 active cases in California, but they were in hospital isolation or in quarantine.

The same day as Pelosi’s trip to Chinatown, Trump tweeted: "The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA."

"We were short on ventilators because the cupboards were bare when we took it over."

This contradicts a statement from his own administration.

"There is over 12,000, almost 13,000 ventilators that we have so that if communities, hospitals, other organizations need to have these ventilators, we can ship that out to them," Seema Verma, a member of the White House coronavirus task force said in early March during a CNN interview, according to a transcript.

"The stockpile is there, and we hope that it is adequate," Verma said when asked if the administration had enough materials in its stockpile.

We rated Mostly False Trump’s sweeping claim that the Obama administration left him a "stockpile with a cupboard that was bare." In April, during the first few months of the pandemic, we found that most states had procured enough ventilators to match the demand.

"They said at the Democrat convention they're going to do a national (mask) mandate. They never did it, because they’ve checked out and they didn’t do it."

This is off target. In his nomination acceptance speech, Biden said, "We'll have a national mandate to wear a mask, not as a burden, but to protect each other." We noted that current law makes it tough for the federal government to impose a mask mandate on the states.

But Biden was talking about what he would do if he won. Trump’s criticism that "they never did it" ignores that Biden has no power to make that happen now.

Biden later acknowledged the limits on Washington’s power to mandate masks, and said "what I would be doing is putting as much pressure as I could on every governor" to implement mask requirements.

Democrats "will get rid of preexisting conditions" protections.

Pants on Fire! Trump made a similar claim at a Sept. 10 rally in Michigan, saying Biden "will destroy your protections for preexisting conditions." That’s an inaccurate and ridiculous statement. Biden wants to keep the Affordable Care Act and its protections for people with preexisting conditions.

Trump and Republicans for years have tried to get rid of the health care law, without an alternative that would maintain the same protections for people with preexisting conditions.

Speaking of Biden, "If you look at his policies, where he wants to raise everybody’s taxes."

This is False. Biden’s tax plan would raise taxes on corporations and people making over $400,000 a year. Analysts say some taxpayers below that threshold could see an impact to their incomes as the higher corporate tax ripples through the economy, but that dynamic is very different from a formal tax increase.. And tax models find that corporations and the wealthiest Americans will feel the greatest impact of Biden’s tax proposal.
While we're on the subject, two more.

    Our Ruling

Caputo [EDITOR: Trump campaign official] said "there are hit squads being trained all over this country" to violently oppose a second term for Trump.

Post-election protests featuring violence are a real possibility, experts said, and there are some left-wing groups that believe in openly carrying firearms.

But experts who track domestic terrorism and extremist groups said there’s no basis to Caputo’s claim that these groups are organizing nationwide as "hit squads" and "being trained" to carry out widespread political assassinations should Trump win on Election Day.

    We rate this statement False.
    Our Ruling

During an interview on Fox News [EDITOR: Hannity], Yan said the coronavirus "is a man-made virus created in the lab."

The genetic structure of the novel coronavirus, which has been shared by thousands of scientists worldwide, rules out the possibility that it was manipulated in a lab. Public health authorities have repeatedly said the virus was not created in a lab. Scientists believe the coronavirus originated in bats before jumping to humans. Experts have publicly rebuked Yan’s paper, and it’s unclear whether it was peer reviewed.

The claim is inaccurate and ridiculous. We rate it Pants on Fire!
There are Trump supporters out there trying to make fun of Biden for occassionally forgetting something. It looks like Trump has a much worse problem -- or, he's blatantly lying, over and over, in public. Feel free to cite Biden for things he says that are false, I just cited two. But if you do, bear in mind you admit hypocrisy if you don't also mention the many things Trump said that are false -- regardless of the reason.

You don't even need to go that far today.

Plenty of schools still teach that the Civil war "was really about states rights" or that "slavery was just a small part of it."

So I was putzing around in Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

There's a politician named Kleon who's Pericle's rival in game (no idea of there's a historical Kleon) and one quest has me encountering some goons who were agitated by Kleon. The goon shouted "Make Athens great again!" before he attacked me.

Later, I'm at a party and some rich guy says he labels Kleon "that orange ape"

So I've had enough and I wanted to see if Kleon, a populist leader in Athens, was in someway a commentary or based on Donald Trump. After googling it I come across a reddit thread of some guy who's throwing a hissy fit, that Ubisoft and the developers are anti-Trump or some shit because they had a character shouting "Make Athens great again." He even said it was "vomit inducing."

I had to laugh because we've had decades, literal decades, of right wingers calling liberals snowflakes, but here we have some dude all butthurt because some video game character shouted a Trumpish slogan.

    Who's the snowflake?
    Putin khuliyo
