To try and convince people he's not in bad shape. He's a narcissist who has to be seen as strong and powerful and the greatest ever, and can't let himself show any weakness. Really, this is a question that answers itself.

he's a world leader though, he can't show weakness or be humiliated. That's a disgrace to your country and jeopardizes national security if the leader is a weakling.

He was a disgrace and a weakling the minute he came down the escalator in 2015.

Why on earth are people to responding to that guy? He’s not here to say anything in good faith. Ignore him and he’ll go away. Simple as.

Man, the Trumpsters sure are raising a lot of sea lions these days to defend his lies about Covid-19.

He admitted on tape that he's been lying about Covid from the beginning, so he's most certainly lying about it now.

Yeah, it’s like we are supposed to forget them attacking medical professionals during their open up riots. All those images of them screaming as spit flew out if their mouths, at nurses trying to clear a path for ambulances, are not going away.

Oh, ok, that makes sense. "Delusional sycophant" are a couple of words I'd add to that description.

A lot of tweets from random nobodies. Unless anyone knows "Oscar the Midnight Rider 1111" the "#DigitalWarrior" with his currently restricted account, I assume because of some shit he tweeted.

What a sad, sad state of affairs for the office of the President of the United States of America.

Honestly, they'll just get worse when he leaves office, whether that is in a few months or in another 4 years. As will Trump.

When Trump denies it and its one of the leading causes of death in the country its relevant, no?

Mod Edit: That's different from what was occurring. Discussion should relate to Trump directly.

Trump Funnels Record Subsidies to Farmers Ahead of Election Day
    https://www.nytimes.com/2020/10/12/u...id=tw-share-v1

WASHINGTON — For the American farmers President Trump counts on for support, the government money is flowing faster than ever.

Federal payments to farmers are projected to hit a record $46 billion this year as the White House funnels money to Mr. Trump’s rural base in the South and Midwest ahead of Election Day.

The gush of funds has accelerated in recent weeks as the president looks to help his core supporters who have been hit hard by the double whammy of his combative trade practices and the coronavirus pandemic. According to the American Farm Bureau, debt in the farm sector is projected to increase by 4 percent to a record $434 billion this year and farm bankruptcies have continued to rise across the country.

It has not been good news for Team Trump recently.

    1) The Cook Political Report has moved Georgia to a toss-up, and both Texas and Alaska have moved to "lean" Republican.

    2) One of the tweets that @UnifiedDivide mentioned was an attack on Fauci.

Actually, Tony’s pitching arm is far more accurate than his prognostications
As a reminder, Fauci was explicitly clear about his stance on masks even in March, namely, that he didn't want the general population to run out and buy masks before essential workers and front-line responders got them. You can read all about it in an interview he personally gave six months ago.

    3) Trump and his campaign are still pushing for "poll watchers". As a reminder, this is called "Trump's Army" and he's also suggested dispatching law enforcement or troops. Poll watchers must be certified before the election, and also, I'm pretty sure they can only watch polls from their own district. What Trump is suggesting is none of those.

    4) A growing number of Party of Trump lawmakers are trying to return to the Republican Party, offering token disagreements with Trump or refusing to answer if they support him. While clearly done for self-preservation, the optics aren't good for the fat orange fuck who fell in the polls so much he got stuck.

4a) Related, one GOP Senator defended Trump for not creating a mask mandate by saying "people wouldn't have followed it".

Not sure if he's saying Trump is incompetent, or arguing against the point of laws at all.

    5) Desperate and flailing, Trump signs an E.O. to plant a trillion trees.

And Mexico will pay for them.

Trump's record on the environment is already clear. If he really wanted to make progress, he would have done so four years ago. This promise is Trump-levels of "will never happen" and nobody will buy it.

I mean, is it desperation like the trillion trees and $200 cards? Or is it just a continuation of the socialist bailout, required by Trump's failed trade war with China?

I mean, neither option is redeeming.
