How do you answer the phone?

I usually go with "Hi, this is ____" if the caller is unknown, "Hi/Hey", alternatively "Yes/Yeah?" if it's someone I know.
On my phone at home I go with just my last name.

Privately I don't answer the phone. I hate being bothered by people who call me or ring the doorbell. Those who need to get in contact with me do it through Facebook or SMS. If I don't see it then I'm too busy doing something else and it's pointless trying to get in touch with me.

At work I usually just say "Hi this is xxxx".

If I don't know the number then I don't pick up.

If the number is in my contacts, I answer with the caller's first name or title. E.g., if my father calls, my phone tells me it's my father's number, so I'll pick up and say, "Wassup dad?"

If the number is not in my contacts, I'll do different things depending on my mood. Sometimes I'll pick up with, "You have five seconds. Go."

Hello if the number is not in my contacts list, Hi "name" if it is. mostly I just don't answer the phone. text messaging was a godsent for me since now people can reach me and I can reach people without me having to deal with actual talking over the phone
