    Uh...we already earned this stuff?

I'm going to be perfectly straight here...it is not at all ok to put stuff that we already ground out/earned on new stuff and act like I should be glad you're allowing me to regrind/work for it again and in many cases a nerfed version.

If you're not sure what I'm talking about; I'm talking about Azerite Armor. In some cases (I have a feeling this is just the tip of the Iceberg) you will need to grind out traits on your Armor that you already earned, in Legion. Those Legendary items that will become useless? Those Artifact traits that you spammed Maw for? Ya, we get the treat of having them all taken away, rewrapped and regifted in the form of another grind.

What we earned on our Artifacts should've all gone Baseline. Instead, in many cases they removed pretty much everything from us (everything we spent Legion earning) only to turn around and give to us AGAIN as a new carrot...like we are that retarded and can't see it's the same carrot?

$50 to relearn everything they just removed from our characters? Let me guess what will happen in the next expansion when they remove Azurite Armor and the Necklace? Ya, fool me once...At the end of the day our characters haven't progressed since the beginning of WoD. Now, we progress our characters through rental gear only to have all our progression stripped away in the end. This is an awful system.

Get used to it. Activision Blizzard has found a lazy way to get people to stay subbed. Why make a fun game when you can make a little more money right?

Welcome to wow since vanilla, end of the expansion everything you did was meaningless other then for the cosmetics.
also you are not paying 50$ for spells... you are paying 50$ for a ton of content, mounts, pets, mogs, and toys.

Protip: your characters progression is about 1/10th of what an expansion brings.

Kind of an asinine statement, since they make money because people do find it fun. What kind of idiot would pay for WoW if they didn't find it fun to play?

Gear was only a small part of progression in Vanilla to BC. I know, I've been playing for 11 years. Classes received lots of new toys in BC, Wrath, Cata and MoP. Now? We've regressed over the last 4 years. 3 expansions of Pruning. If I ran my table top D&D game like this, no one would show up. WoW used to be a RPG MMO. Now? It feels like a Mobile game.

Yeah, and you're still using your awesome epics from Molten Core, right? I'm not sure what you're on, but every expansion in WoW always reset your character.

Correct, Servers cost alot to keep up, data keeping up to 50 charecters with hundreds of inventory slots (bank, guild bank, inventory) stables, quest log, quests completed, currencies, gear, skills. it does not take up alot for one player, but when you get millions, even those offline, it becomes alot of data stored. even for those who havent paid you for years.
That and they do produce free content for us every few months, and our money helps pay for that, and to keep the servers up, keeping up servers for alot of people, and holding the data of millions of players. it all adds up, and they are a company, a buisness they need to make money so holy fuck they charge you money each month to play ooooh boi.

But yes just another purning thread in disguise.. can we just ask the mods to make a "Purning megathread"

no, it was pretty huge, a peice of gear massivly increased your damage in vanilla, gear now adays is a small part in most slots, but no in vanilla a purple peice was MASSIVE.
Also no they cant just increase spells every single expansion or we would have about 150 spells by now.
Do your D&D charecters every half a second need to decide out of their 150 spells to use next? tell me how many spells your spellcasters can use in D&D

You apparently, aren't a PvPer. Class progression is 9/10 the content for PvPers. And Blizzard wonders why PvP participation declined by around 70% (not a made up figure). The number of Arena players and RBG fell off a cliff in Legion with the over simplified class design which is being further simplified in BfA with most buffs going onto the GCD and the further pruning of already overly pruned classes. PvP is being hit hard. Instead of 6 PvP talents, you now have 4.

In Cata my Hunter had 54 keybinds. If 12 keybinds is too much for you. Maybe, Hello Kitty Online: Island Adventures best suits your gaming ability? Why should WoW cater to people who aren't gamers? It's a video game. WoW is being destroyed to make it accessible to the Goldshire naked dance team.

IIRC, there's 5+ editions of D&D at this point, and they generally cut back to start with every new one... Might not be the best example.

Sometimes you have to go back to be able to move forward.

ERMAGERD! You mean we don't get to go into the next expansion at max level fully geared out?! Well, that's the end of my sub right there! How could they ever expect us to do more content!? I already leveled and geared in wrath, then cata, then mop, then wod and then legion.... Oh wait...

I don't know why people play shit they don't find fun, it's weird. A friend of mine does that shit. He always says WoW is boring but he still fucking plays it. I don't get it.

Can't you understand that endlessly adding skills and traits is not sustainable?

54 keybindings? you must have had like 20 mount keybindings cause there is no where near 54 here

the only ones who get close have multiple of the same spell keybound multiple times.

also gamers are people who enjoy games, not people who play with over 100 keybinds...
i love how with your post you bassicly call any moba players, fps, or ANY VIDEO GAME PLAYER who plays a game that has less then 50 keybinds "not a gamer"
but yeah sure, all those overwathc players, hots, dota, league, smite, all of them fucking casuals they should play real video games.

WoW has become the perfect lobby based MMO, everything you do means nothing once the new expansion arrives, your level means nothing, your gear means nothing, your character means nothing, only the shit attached to your account means anything at all, this is not an RPG in any way shape or form any longer.

At the end of every expansion going forward they can take everything you have gained over hours and hours of play and then give it back you again after more hours and hours of play with a fresh coat of paint. Character progression is gone, PvP was templated and I rejoiced maybe Blizz would stop nerfing my PvE because of PvP shit which I didn't take part in, but I should have resisted that change cause now PvE has been templated. Legion it was the Arty weapon BfA it'll be Azerite shite.

Go Forth and grind you stupid fucks and in a couple years we'll take everything you've gained then charge you to get it back.
When I was younger I used to hope bad things wouldn't happen.
Now I just hope they're at least funny when they do.
