BFA pvp talents need a rework.

As the title says, a lot of the pvp talents for a lot of specs feel out of place with some of the class changes on beta , I know this doesn't apply to all specs but a lot of them feel clunky.

They were designed with legion functions in mind and bfa changed a lot of factors in some specs whilst pvp talents havent been updated to reflect that.

some are downright out of place, like void eruption being instant cast and being in direct conflict with the new legacy of the void talent which reduces the cast time of void eruption by 40%.

Or for affliction rot and decay pvp trait which functions with drain life on beta unless you pick drain soul as a talent it swaps to it, but drain life and drain soul are 2 separate spells since drain soul overrides shadow bolt , since no one wants to cast drain life on beta unless u dont have a healer in pvp I doubt anyone will take this talent unless specced into drain soul , then there's the essence drain only working with drain life so u can see the headache of having to juggle uses between drain life/drain soul to get full use of the talents ( let's say in an open world scenario).

I'm sure i can mention a couple more talents for several other specs/classes, but hopefully you get the point.

It just doesn't feel like the pvp talents are meant for bfa, they're clunky and need a rework.

    Thoughts?

Some might still be changed, some might be intended to work with certain talents only. You can only pick 3 so dont really see an issue with some working better with certain talents?

Ok so i had to log in first time in over a year just to answer you, no its not ok even if you only pick 3 to have useless talents. For example ele shamans have a talent that makes 100 maelstrom earth shock stun, but it now only costs 60. They haven´t even changed the ones that work on spells which have been removed.

It's pointless to be discussing PVP talents besides noting that 90% are the same as in Legion = nothing terribly interesting, plus you now pick a smaller number of them from a pool that is two-thirds of what it was before = another small prune. It's pointless to be talking about them, because (a) even PVE talents are bad and unfinished and lost tons of things again, because (b) whatever the talents, the story with the gear is still doing PVE in order to PVP with no ilvl caps, with an RNG thing being mockingly named 'conquest points' although it has near-zero resemblance to conquest points of Cata / MoP / WoD, because (c) whatever the talents and the gearing, they still don't have solo queue and that means that even if all other things are solved (they aren't going to be, but if), PVP will at the very best still be same old as it was before, dated design from 6-8 years old with zero potential to attract new players in 2018 and zero interesting things happening.

Discussing PVP talents at the moment is similar to discussing which squirrels we will have to /love or /kiss in the BFA version of the respective achievement. Yes, PVP talents are pretty bad. But even if they were perfect this would have been irrelevant, because there are MUCH bigger problems. (But yes, they are bad, you are right, etc)

Well, your point is valid and I agree with it, but I feel like the bare minimum this game should offer is fun class design and gameplay, even if everything else that u do in game is flawed/broken, classes should at least feel fun to play at the core.

PvP talents in legion are a farcry of what their ideology reflects, which is to say completing the pvp playstyle that should have been baseline by default, sadly instead of blizz putting effort into improving what legion failed to do, the changes on beta reflect that they were completely ignored and left tattered, what's worse is they revealed their new pvp system and socalled pvp changes to show what they had in store whilst the pvp talents have had minimal design alterations to reflect the evolution into bfa playstyle, which is to say, lack of design or just half-ass'd it.

Which is just a bit surprising since blizzard is supposed to be about "quality work" and all that garbage they say about themselves.
