Dragon Isles are the last lore excuse for an expansion landmass. They won't be thrown away.

Plunder Isle might get wasted however. It was included in the BFA alpha zone list, the same one that had Nazjatar and Mechagnome stuff.

It... could be the BFA equivalent to Timeless Isle?

That globe is from WOTLK. Since then we had Pandaria, Broken Isles, Kul Tiras & Zandalar added to the map and yet if you go to Ulduar it still shows the globe as it was in 2009.

Blizzard can (and will) add as many landmasses to the game as they want.

There's some people who honest to goodness believe that if the game hasn't shown an "update" to a certain thing in the past, then it's still current.

I absolutely agree, but there won't be a backside. They wil just keep adding landmasses as they did with Pandaria, Broken Isles and Kul'tiras/Zandalar by just fitting them between the others.
