LOTR/HP MMORPG when?

Looking at Hogwarts Legacy (open world RPG on PS5), I can't help but wonder how many more years it will take for a next generation LOTR/HP MMORPG to finally release.

+ Graphics like we know from Assassins Creed etc.
+ Open world with other players everywhere like in WoW.
+ Massive leveling experience like in Vanilla WoW.
+ Raids and PvP like on retail WoW.

Imagine all of that in the LOTR/HP universe.

What's the technology that we need to discover before this kind of game can become a reality? Or will we all need NASA computers to run an MMO with graphics like in Assassins Creed?

Probably never. The MMO bubble burst awhile ago. They are not the money makers they once were. Now, a online multiplayer "Live Service" game in one of those series could be possible. The problem is neither is really all that relevant anymore and are not likely to become super relevant any time soon so the chance of a company sinking big money into either is somewhat unlikely. That Hogwarts game has been in development for quite a few years. I doubt it would get the funding if it had just been started right now.
