Trump can dig his heels in all he wants, but Congress won't give him money for the wall if he calls for a national emergency and since the majority of Americans don't want the wall it would be suicide to say "Hey, we finally got that piece of shit, useless wall, sorry it cost you weeks of pay and fucked up your home lives for something you don't want because our retarded, geriatric, orange manchild felt like holding people's paychecks hostage so he can feel like his penis isn't small."
I don't want a wall. I just think the fact that people are out of work and suffering is going to start a push for as fast a resolution as possible. I think people will take a wall if that's the price of ending this.

The Republicans just overriding the veto would be a quicker price for ending this. Along with a cheaper one too.
But they haven't been fiscally responsible for as long as I have been alive.
Since we can't call out Trolls and Bad Faith posters and the Ignore function doesn't actually ignore it. Add

to your ublock or adblock filter to actually ignore ignored posters. Now just need a way to ignore responses to them as well.

If Trump was so keen on helping the American people he wouldn't have refused to sign in the first place nor would the tea party back him up. This is all on Trump and to give the wall now is basically saying that it's okay to give a child whatever he wants just because he's throwing yet another tantrum. This is on Trump, McConnel, and those that think the wall is worth throwing people's lives in jeopardy.

This could all end with a few strokes of a pen from Trump or certain Republicans not being complete and utter cuckolds.

I agree. My point was less about assigning blame for things than trying to predict what was going to happen.

I would absolutely love it if that happened. I don't have a ton of faith in Republicans to do so.

    1) The majority of the American people put fault on Trump for this.
    2) Trump helped that along by admitting this was his doing on live TV.
    3) And even if he didn't, there was a budget he could have signed, like the previous two, that would take care of it.
    4) And expect some of the Democratic, admittedly "bait", solutions to be rejected. My favorite being "we'll fund everything except DHS". So even if it was their problem (which it wasn't) before, by offering a solution that's rejected, it'd still shift the responsibility.

The TSA, the IRS, the Coast Guard, the Smithsonian, the USDA, and of course ICE/Customs/Border Patrol...these are all things the country wants, nay, needs. Their loss will eventually become a problem. One plane crash, one E.Coli outbreak, one sunken ship, and this will make Trump, for all useful intents and purposes, responsible for deaths. Families being evicted for not having the rent -- either because they were laid off or didn't get their refund -- won't help. Also, remember those farmers supposed to get federal help because Trump's trade war shut down their crop exports? Yeah, the shutdown stopped that too.

And @Skroe is pointing out, with barely contained glee, the cracks widening in the GOP foundation. Which is looking more and more like "steel slats" now.

Going to be interesting when President Trump closes all of the legal entry points on the southern border.
You can say Schumer shutdown until you're blue in the face, Trump scuppered that talking point a week before it happened. You could watch Schumer break into a massive grin as soon as that idiot jammed his foot right into the bear trap. Turns out a President with no brain who's easily manipulated is just as useful a tool for the Democrats as the Republicans.

This legal entry points thing, did Q tell you about that? LOL.

I'm pretty sure you'd be much better off without the TSA and ICE. But the rest you need.

Yeah. Some simple and common word. I'd say something like "reds" or "blues" or "greens", but those are all political and while some have more, every group has some. But still, something along those lines ought to work. Maybe there's some primary color that doesn't have a particular affiliation?

Yellow seems quite fitting for people who spew nonsense but don't have the conviction to stick around and actually back it up.

I say yellow they say red so we agree it must be orange or nothing at all but I prefer yellow so yellow it is. Beware of green as it tends to creep up on you when you expect it the least.

They had no reason to turn on him over Kavanaugh. They always had the votes to pass him, they just fucked around until public opinion was something they could justify, then voted. They no longer have a majority in the house or 60% votes in the senate, to do the same thing in regards to budget.

I would rather see the entire country fall apart than see anyone cave and support a wall. The democrats need to absolutely not give a single inch.
