Scalebound could return as a Switch exclusive

Ah Scalebound. Remember Scalebound? The dragon-themed RPG that was in development as an Xbox One exclusive by Platinum Games might be making a comeback according to a new report, specifically as a Nintendo Switch title. The latest gossip comes via NintendoInsider, which claims that Scalebound is coming back.

"I have confidence in my sources to report that it is my understanding that Scalebound has been resurrected as a project to be released as a Nintendo Switch exclusive," reads the report.

Interestingly, earlier this month, Game Informer hinted on Kinda Funny Games about a “game that’s thought to be dead that Nintendo’s reviving”. Apparently, Scalebound is said title.

That would come as quite the happy news, as when it was announced that Scalebound was going the way of the other giant, scaly things, back in 2017, the fanbase was incredibly distraught.

If true it would be awesome to see this game live, But I would hate to see how scaled "not pun intended" down it would be to run on The Switch.

Reason I didn't post this in the Switch thread is because it was originally a XB1 exclusive title.

Honestly I would love to see it released on PS4 since its a more powerful system. But hey if they somehow get it playing on The Switch that would be cool too.

Rooster Teeth's Alanah Pierce heard from a reliable source back in June that it would be coming, just not as an Xbox One exclusive.

Kotaku's Jason Scherier (from a post on ResetERA) seems to think some of Scalebound's systems may have moved to Astral Chain and someone got their wires crossed.
