Mass shooting with zero fatalities in Europe? International news.
Mass shooting with less than five fatalities in the US? Barely even local news.

Or some moron coming here and saying shit like "hur durrr, see? You need strict gun laws to prevent shootings" and completely ignore the fact that countries like Switzerland exist.

Shit, two people were stabbed yesterday in a popular open market in Amsterdam and now this...

    Hope neither were terrorist attacks.

To be fair what people mostly say is that it does not prevent people from killing each other.
There are several countries with a shit load of guns and no mass shootings and several countries with a lot of guns restrictions and a lot of violence (including mass shootings).

This is so true. If only we had communism noone would be able to have guns. Or food. Potentional shooters would starve to death long before they could hurt anyone.

Way to exaggerate. Mass shootings in the US are incredibly rare. Sure as fuck aren’t even close to a “weekly basis” so gtfo with that bullshit.

And strict gun laws don’t prevent squat. Just look at Chicago. IL has some of the strictest gun laws yet Chicago is a gun violence hotbed.

They are stricter than those in the US, but relatively relaxed compared to European standards, at least when it comes to the type of weapons one can own. Switzerland, Italy and the Czech Republic are the "gun triad" of Europe. Some of the laws in these countries are even less restrictive than those in some US states; for instance, magazines aren't limited to 10/20 rounds, the concept of assault weapons does not exist barring EU directives (that have not been adopted, unlike the case with most other countries, the most notorious example being France, where legally owned weapons are now being confiscated without a refund just because they look scary to European bureaucrats), and so on.
P.s. to give an better idea of how things are: even in the gun triad background checks are very comprehensive, convicted felons can't own guns, and there's commissions of state psychiatrists running checks for mental illnesses as well. There's also quite a bit of paperwork to do as most stuff (barring liberalized things such as, in some cases, muzzle loaders, .22 lr, &c.) must be registered with the police. There's also a mandatory technical/safety ability test for those who have not done military service. However, once that's over with, we can legally own just about anything, including the dreaded AR-15s, Kalashnikovs and other "assault weapons".

    https://www.gunviolencearchive.org/r.../mass-shooting

According to this there has been an average of two to three mass shootings a week in 2019, with at least one fatality per week.

Guns are not guns, either. Lots of guns in Norway, but they are "all" low-capacity magazine shotguns or hunting rifles. Not the most practical weapons to carry when you're gonna kill some rival gang members or get to a highly populated area without getting stopped. Also, because of socialist policies and good social programs, poverty and crime is fairly low, reducing violence and the need for guns. I'll take that over some futuristic wild west / cyberpunk fantasy that some people in here have a hard on for.

Or morons who try to compare Switzerland to US just because guns are available in both countries? Completely ignoring the strict checks and training you have to go through to have a gun in Switzerland. Gun owners need to receive individual permits to own guns and they are regularly denied based on the background checks alone.

Just to mention it is quite pathetic that the only example close to US you can give is Switzerland and they have 0.25 guns per capita while use has 1.. Yes 25% amount of guns compared to US with much stricter requirements to buy guns would be a dream come true for any liberal in US right now.

If your metric for a law is 100% compliance...well we should abandon society as we know it.

No, gun laws are not strict in Switzerland. Get updated with the world.

Not really going to work at all because criminals find guns when they want them. That includes semi-rifles. You orgasm so much over "socialist" policies and completely ignore what's going on in the immigrant areas of Sweden and Germany.
