The 2016 election is why I will never put stock in another poll for the rest of my life. They are completely useless. And, the polls are a huge reason why I think Hillary lost. They gave the democrats a sense of complacency where as I'm sure if the numbers were a lot more even in the polls, a lot more democrats would have showed up to vote. Hell, Hillary's odds of winning on election day were near 100% at the start of the day, dropping to near zero at the end. EVERYONE discounted Trump, and that was his strength, I think. I think 2016 is a case study in not giving the polling companies an ounce of credibility for the rest of the life of the universe.

There are lots of reasons to want a UBI and the bill should be going to the wealthy in the form of taxes, like they pay taxes to begin with.

Like I said, socialism as a whole isn't a very good political platform to run on in the national election. A UBI would require a massive tax increase, trillions of dollars a year. Of course there's reasons to want a UBI, it's "free" money. The people at the bottom of the pile are those screaming loudest for it. As we have learned, those people aren't reliable voters, and they sure as hell can't convince many politicians to go along with such a plan. It's always easier to take someone else's money to pay for the shit you happen to want.

The left won't care about the creepy Joe thing sorry but the problem with Joe Biden is that he is the typical republican lite candidate. He is the front runner but he will lose steam because of all his past stances including siding with republicans on key issues. He just has way too much political baggage to get past the primaries but if he does he will have no problem winning as long as he picks someone like an Elizabeth Warren and not another version of himself like Beto.
