Megatron: Why throw away your life so recklessly?
Optimus: That's a question you should ask yourself, Megatron!

10yo me: OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH DAMN! Best comeback ever.

p.s. Fuck you Hotrod. I'll never forgive you.

Growing up I don't think I was aware of movies other than the Transformers movie.

As for Hotrod, can't make a heroic sacrifice if there isn't some stupid idiot ruining everything because Optimus is too badass to ever be in danger otherwise.

I remember my mom took my brothers and I to watch it in the theater when it came out which was rare. I have the 30th anniversary edition.

I absolutely loved the Indiana Jones films, especially the Last Crusade. I initially wanted to become an Archaeologist because of it.

The Princess Bride is still, to this day, right up there. It was a real treat watching it again with my 10 year old daughters.

I grew up in the 80s so I will leave it at that because there are just too many to list.

I normally don’t “This!” posts, but... This!

Curious to see more entries from 90s or 00’s kids.

For me also watching Star Wars on HBO, and I mean watching it a LOT.

    For me:

    Star Trek 2
    Star Trek 4
    Dune
Star Wars - Original Trilogy (I liked them all, but I was growing up during the OT)
    Tron
    Clash of the Titans
Poltergeist (this movie shaped my fear of clowns)
The Stand (tv mini series, but was more than movie-length)
    Raiders of the Lost Ark
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Close Encounters of the Third Kind

Honorable Mention, because it was a TV series:
    Robotech - Macross

There are probably a lot more, but I could watch any of these any amount of times at any time.

One of the best movies ever (and I can't believe I forgot to put it on my list).
Cary Elwes is doing a tour across the US, showing the movie and then doing a Q&A afterward. I get to see this in April. I wanted to do the meet/greet, but it was too expensive.

We watched Hook so much it eventually just got eaten by our VCR. The Star Trek movies also got a ton of play in our house. But I think watching Scrooged on Christmas is probably one of the things I have the best memories about from my childhood.

    American Tail
(or any Don Bluth movie, American Tail, Land Before Time or Secret of Nymn)

Even as a grown ass man I ball my eyes out at this movie. Its gotten to a point where I cannot watch it anymore. God damn my over sensitive soul :P

If you grew up in the 80's you probably had Don Bluths movies try and crush your soul too.

Jurassic Park for me. First time I was left in awe and I couldn't watch it enough times. Perfect mix of elements of horror, action, adventure, and some comedy with likable characters, lovable cast and business-altering special effects. This was likely the movie event of my generation.

When I was a kid I loved this movie...if only this happened to more rapists then maybe they'd think twice.

When everyone else was going wild about Star Wars, I was going wild about the far superior Close Encounters of the Third Kind:

Challenge Mode : Play WoW like my disability has me play:
You will need two people, Brian MUST use the mouse for movement/looking and John MUST use the keyboard for casting, attacking, healing etc.
Briand and John share the same goal, same intentions - but they can't talk to each other, however they can react to each other's in game activities.
Now see how far Brian and John get in WoW.
