Which is a fair criticism, but that doesn't mean the world is entirely lacking in adventure, it's just much more streamlined. It's a different kind of adventure.
It's the difference between a guided tour and free exploration. You get to see the major stuff and experience a lot of what an area has to offer (the highlights anyway) in a guided tour, but it's a directed and curated experience vs the unknown and directionless approach you'd have to take without a guide, so you can miss some things, but you could also see things that a guided tour wouldn't show.
Both experiences are fun and could be considered an "adventure," just different kinds and would obviously be subjective as far as how "fun" each version would be to different people. I personally would rather have a guided tour, as it makes sure I'm introduced to the major attractions and options the area has to offer first, and I can explore on my own from there if I so choose with no time "wasted" in figuring that kind of stuff out. I know others prefer it the other way, neither of us are "wrong."
