The Void. A force of infinite hunger. Its whispers have broken the will of dragons... and lured even the titans' own children into madness. Sages and scholars fear the Void. But we understand a truth they do not. That the Void is a power to be harnessed... to be bent by a will strong enough to command it. The Void has shaped us... changed us. But you will become its master. Wield the shadows as a weapon to save our world... and defend the Alliance!
Dickmann's Law: As a discussion on the Lore forums becomes longer, the probability of the topic derailing to become about Sylvanas approaches 1.
Tinkers will be the next Class confirmed.
Is between Sylvanas and Jaina, but this expansion have made sure that Jaina comes out on top :P
The only one that isn’t constantly failing. Azshara! But now she’s in the spot light; it’s her turn to become a failure.
This poll was tampered with and has been adjusted.
Only looked at page 1 and 4, but did anyone else immediately think Fallout 3? "Generalized Occupational Aptitude Test.". <.< >.>
I seriously never knew it had another meaning

And did you miss out on the fact that the Void Lords are actually the great enemy? Sargeras had the potential to finally defeat the Void threat with his Dark Pantheon, yes. However, he was NEVER the great enemy. The Void always was. That was their purpose. They're the final and main guys.
It weren't the Void Lords who controlled a Titan of Death capable of destroying all lfie on the universe. It weren't the Void Lords who were enveloping the planet in a cloud of darkness and proceeded to stab it.And did you miss out on the fact that the Void Lords are actually the great enemy?
Your word against that of Metzen, who called Sargeras the big, mega bad guy" of the Warcraft franchise. However, he was NEVER the great enemy. The Void always was. That was their purpose. They're the final and main guys.
You really have to be dense to deny that Sargeras was the main villain of the Warcraft franchise.

From our viewpoint, both Sargeras and the Void Lords are enemies. Sargeras' "fix" for the universe was to annihilate it and all life within it so that it could never be infected by the Void again. The Void Lords themselves seek to infect and inhabit the physical universe, turning it into an echo of their own home dimension. You can argue about which fate would be worse for us, but both are bad and both forces that seek them are definitely enemies from our perspective.

List too small. Didn't vote.
Some often downplay the danger that Sargeras posed after the Void Lords' introduction, while forgetting that Argus the Unmaker, a minion of Sargeras, had the ability to kill everything in creation in one blow. Sargeras was definitely the greater threat before this expansion.

I'm not arguing that he's an enemy. However, he was never the "great" enemy, as it was retconned in Chronicles.

Who's downplaying? I do think Sargeras could destroy the Void Threat alone, actually. However, he's not the great enemy. He's a negative response to the great enemy.
Except it wasn't.I'm not arguing that he's an enemy. However, he was never the "great" enemy, as it was retconned in Chronicles.
Also, I have no idea what point you are trying to make by bringing up Sargeras.

He was certainly the most visible enemy - "great" is a term that has a lot of ambiguity to be debated and dissected. The Void Lords have always been more of a background threat, and still are really. We know for instance that the Old Gods were made by the Void Lords, but we don't know who or which, or even really how as we barely comprehend the why of them. Are there good-aligned Void Lords, beings similar to Locus-Walker (who may not be good himself)? Are they an executive or a hive-mind? Do they act in concert or does each pursue its own agenda?
Sargeras' goal and personality were more or less known quantities, and while he was active I would say he definitely qualified as the "great enemy," or at least the most prominent. The Void Lords, while perhaps an even greater threat, still need more focus to be as understood as Sargeras was as an enemy.
