Jay-z was an infinitely better lyricist. As Dr. Dre is a rather poor one. But Dre’s beats (music not headphones) are some of the best there has ever been. He also brought us Eminem, so there’s that.

Most extremely rich (billionaires) athletes/musicians and other gifted talents don't make it solely from their talent. It's usually businesses that generate the big bucks. I remember reading Michael jordan made less than $100 million in his entire basketball career. The rest was sponsorships and businesses. I think is worth almost 2 billion.
