Actually, you're literally making shit up.

Bloomberg has already said that he's primarily running to stop Trump, and will throw support behind whoever gets the nomination by keeping the attack ads coming.

Again, another instance in which informing yourself helps.

    So he says.

He was also openly attacking Warren's tax plans and then jumped into the race the moment she started polling ahead of Biden. Sure that's a coincidence.

Eugh. Even if it's for a good cause, relying on billionaires puts a bad taste in my mouth.

I get what you're saying and I don't think that thread represents his entire base, but those people are straight up totalitarians, my dude.

He's still my first choice, but I couldn't imagine being that self-absorbed to just take my ball and go home because dear leader didn't get the nomination. That's privilege defined if you ask me

yea i saw that. These chapo people were just downwardly mobile tory failsons with media connections. They exploit real problems and frustrations for clicks. Its gross. They make real problems for organisers.

I think that rocanna person probably listens to max blumental and the tankie crowd too which is even worse. Always against the tanks.

He's also dropping hundreds of millions of his own money and isn't fundraising.

    "Here's what I think he's doing and it's terrible!"

"Here's what he actually said he's doing."

"We can't believe him, he's terrible!"

I mean, what does Bloomberg have to gain by entering a race late that he has a slim chance of winning, all while dropping hundreds of millions of his own money? He's not even fundraising, he's just dropping his own cash, and quite a bit at that. He pays his staffers damn well and there are a ton of them. It helps to be disgustingly rich, but you don't put up that kind of money for a low chance of getting a nomination.

Right, so it's just a coincidence that he joined the race right when it looked like Biden was faltering and Warren was taking the lead. Just take his word for it without thinking.

I'll never stop enjoying the amusement of Americans who don't remember anything prior to Clinton trying to lecture others on what an actual leftist looks like.

Fairly evident in the way y'all keep rehashing the same rebuttals you use against Republicans and centrist Democrats any time progressives criticise Bernie.

I prefered the 'you've all been saying be gay and do crime but then suddenly Pete comes along'

I'd give up arguing with the european tankie though no point. Doesnt seem to realise that Pete staying in as long as possible and hopefully with momentum for super tuesday is good for Bernies chances.

Considering this Iowa shitshow is squarely on their feet it doesn't surprise me that they're playing themselves and blaming the DNC.

It's like that one meme of that guy who jams a stick in the front wheel of the bike he's riding and then blames the DNC for him crashing.

The money he's spending isn't even cutting into the passive income and interest that his wealth generates. He's still going to come out of this richer because he's basically buying pieces of the Democratic Party to make himself even richer over the medium and long term.

It's the same reason why Bill Gates can be worth $55bn and promise to give all his money away, and give quite a lot of money away, and ten years later be worth $110bn. "You have to have money to make money" is a cliche for a reason, and its the same reason why philanthropy is a scam. It's an investment; spend some money to buy prestige and access, use that prestige and access to make way more money over time.
