There's nothing really stopping them from doing it.

Other than the fact that it would require many of the employees to come in on the weekend in case the release goes completely south and pay them all overtime. Why pay all that extra money when you can drop it during the week when they are already working?

Just pre-ordered my first ever physical collector's edition for a wow expansion/game. Even though I've played this game for so long, I never had the means to buy them before. When I saw the artbook I knew I was going to buy it.

Pity you missed the time when WoW CEs had more content and costed 30% less than now.

Thats literally just a different name.

As a consumer, it means nothing. It was nothing to get excited for. Its not like they are suddenly gonna invite more people than they were inviting before.

Wrong. There are many here who will now get invited to test that weren't when it was just Alpha. And who are you to tell others they shouldn't be excited for it? There is absolutely nothing wrong of being excited for Beta knowing you now have a higher chance of being invited to test.

The only thing we got about Covenants was "it's kind of class halls" but like...that's it.

There's definitely a lot more than I was expecting.

Uhm, having a ton of systems doesn't mean that it has a lot of content. Stuff like Soulbinds or all the other small features barely add anything substantial and will get removed in 10.0 so... that's the major complaint with stuff like this.
