I understand you BIG question, but we cannot let a President abuse his power and get away with in this case trying to use a foreign power to get political dirt on an opponent. Also the worst is they were trying to cover it up, aka obstruct the process.

It's sad and scary that it has become more partisan, especially in the Senate. Some states are solid so you need to support the Fuhrer no matter what. Others I guess, are trying to save themselves in the Republican primaries. In a way they are right that if you have an (R) or (D) in your name you will get X amount votes. Some what we call purple states, they are either taking that gamble or again just care about being the Republican nominee and that is enough.

The House of Representatives is we will see this now on. Gerrymandering has mad everything hyper-partisan. The Dems that won so called Trump districts and voting for impeachment have conviction or know this is not a deciding factor. Some no doubt may lose by 1-3 points and they will say this is the reason. I think some other districts will turn, namely suburban districts as they trended Dem. So a may be a net or neutral gain.
