    • Blaumeux
    • Bloodsail Buccaneers

    • Yojamba (Australia)

These are in addition to the realms that we listed on October 3.

We continue to closely monitor player populations and realm performance, and we expect to move the remaining layered realms to their final state soon.

Free Character Moves continue to be available from many of the highest-populated realms, and as before, we suggest that anyone considering using that service do so as soon as possible.

On Friday 25th October, at 01:00 CEST, the new German RP realm Celebras will open. At the same time, we will open the following Free Character Moves:

    FROM - TO
    • Everlook - Celebras
    • Lakeshire - Celebras
    • Razorfen - Celebras
    • Hydraxian Waterlords - Celebras

We look forward to seeing what the German RP community accomplishes with this new realm!

Might wanna actually look up why they're removing layering. It was only in place so zones weren't overcrowded. I can guarantee Classic is doing just fine.

Far from it, but go on.

"Hero", is what they've all been saying. This world, it isn't worth the saving."

    Now the game is afoot.

Classic is so dead, they even opened a new realm.

    classic content is leveling.

a lot of casuals still aren't 60 yet.

    give it some more time.

lol even before this single layering, I saw more people online in any zone at all times than I did in retail since Wrath. It's sad just how much more popular their 15 year old version of the game is compared to their updated one, 15 years after its launch.

Another nail in the coffin on the "they won't ever remove layering!!!"-conspiracy.

Then you didn't see the zones during the first wave of Allied races.

But keep living in that bubble! I'm sure it'll last fooooooreeeeeeever.

You do realise a realm without layering is basically a normal population realm? The fact layering is removing was always part of the game plan. It doesn't mean the realms are dead. It means they're no longer overcrowded.

Not playing much of wow in general with archeage unchained out but I logged on to both classic and retail lately, classic was super active on grobbulus, cities full and quite a few people leveling.

Retail...borallus and stormwind were extremely quiet and mechagon and naz were somewhat busy.
    Stormrate btw

This late into Classic and still getting a new realm. Without hearing anything from Blizzard yet it seems that Classic is doing more than fine.

I WISH the “classic is dead now” meme was true, maybe I could find some goddamn ore! Ever since layering was removed, running gather profession circuits without an epic mount or leveling under 40 (the typical casual/altaholic cutoff point) is hell again. Just like the first weeks of classic launch. Ugh.

(I play retail too but let’s face it, not much to talk about until 8.3 drops)

Some realms are starting to look kinda dead tho.

Classic will end up in the same state as retail tbh, some "Decent" pop servers and the rest close to ghost town.

Which is why we wanted less realms, but people bitched about queues, hope they actually merge this time around

This is the first realm they've opened in over a month and its a german rp realm. Look, I'm not saying that the game is dead, but its clear that the growth has already stopped.

    Let’s see....

Retail can release a new expansion and cause a surge of subs for a month in the 5-10m range...

Classic can... benefit after they’re bored of the expansion??

Face it- classic can only live because retail does. Hence classics lack of a sub.
