When gaming first started, it was a place for nerds to share a hobby. As gaming has gotten more mainstream, we've noticed the cool kids who made fun of nerds start to play games themselves. (WoW is a good example of this.)

In high school I was a nerd. Wore glasses, was made fun of (even by my so-called 'friends'). Now I'm just a loser, because I have mental issues that people look down on me for. I don't mind, because at least I don't put my health at risk to look "cool" (hint: smoking).

Both? I was a 3 sport Letterman athlete and a hardcore gaming nerd.
Grinded High Warlord in WoW and played semi-competitive in CS source.

Now I think I am swinging a bit more to nerdy, but I still run 5Ks and love watching sports more than anything else.

I was a bit of a hybrid, I played basketball in school but I was also addicted to Nintendo and fantasy books so....
