Yeah, that sounds about right, because with how the virus is progressing in the rest of the world, and with Chinas population numbers, the sudden drop in new infections makes absolutely no sense, unless they put everyone in solitary quarantine.

Bullshit, lol. The truth is that both matter, because they tell us different things. Total is also going to be a very important number after a while, because those will be the people who (hopefully) have relative immunity and count towards the herd immunity threshold.

Completely ignoring one in favor of the other just shows a lack of understanding of logical reasoning. You're taking a complex situation and attempting to simplify it so that you can understand it better. It indicates that you favor narcissistic rather than logical reasoning.

Those countries aren't the proof you think they are. You seriously should brush up on the scientific method. Having a scenario with more than one variable, you can't make unilateral sweeping statements about one variable. Is it possible that there are other factors that outweigh age in its affect on mortality rate? Quite possibly. But to say that "age has nothing to do with it" is just completely, utterly, laughably, wrong, especially when we have so much concrete data that directly refutes that statement.

Yeah, just read that they're abandoning the "containment" phase in places like New York since it has essentially failed and the hospitals are becoming overwhelmed. They're now discouraging people from getting tested because they are stretched too thin.
