I've always been a severe altoholic and often "saving" my favorite specs for later, meaning usually I end up not playing them at all.

If that were the case though. Fire mage vs destruction warlock vs balance druid vs assassin rogue vs ret paladin.
I'd probably go with the mage though since I like casters more and my favorite play style is PvP hit and run or at the very least hit and survive. Druids generally aren't bursty enough, rogues/paladins are bad in group fights and warlocks lack escape abilities.

if we're talking about the past, I'd also be fine with any one of those:

Affli lock in SoO with dot snapshotting and soul swap
Destro lock in SoO with Kil'Jaeden's Cunning
Sub Rogue in Hellfire Assault with Soul Capacitor/Burst ring as a cooldown
Combat Rogue in SoO with Sha trinket as a baseline ability

If I could just have MoP 5.4 style Elemental shaman for the rest of WoW's existence that'd be perfect. I also quite liked the gambling spec that was popular in 7.2 onwards, but given Mythic raiders hate having RNG-bound dps spikes we'll probably never get anything similar again.

Regardless I've mained elemental shaman since I reached level 65 on my first shaman back in early TBC, and I have too many attachments to the character to ever seriously switch it out. I much prefer elemental in any organized group content, but for solo world content I mostly play enhancement (primarily because spell pushback is still a thing).
