The Mission Tables should use the mechanics of Pet Battles

Seriously. Have both, too. So like you can let them go with their success chance and waiting time, or opt in to battle the troops just like battle pets, complete with abilities and bonuses and all of the other cool stuff follower tables already have.

It might be less boring but Blizzard wants stupid easy to program mechanics in the game that take up peoples time and retains subs. Of course it is not retaining subs and since most people don't want to do pet battles or mission tables and the overall fun of the game has fallen into the abyss, It has lost a lot of players. What the game needs is a leader with the talent and motivation to bring back fun, depth and a system that encourages positive social interaction. What the game has right now is a lawyer that was a good "player" at one time back in 2008 and a president that has a resume with the most notable things being a quote ("You think you do but you don't") and helping Star Wars Galaxies commit suicide. Don't expect anything more from this company but short term attempts to cash grab and shallow attempts to appease the player base.
