If you applied this standard fairly, you've established Rittenhouse was the armed aggressor and should have, himself, expected deadly force to be leveled at him, which should have led to his conviction.

So not only is this standard you've invented out of nothing complete horseshit, you're also hypocritically picking and choosing who it applies to, on ideological grounds.

That lethal threat by Rittenhouse was itself an assault, and by your argument, meant Rosenbaum could've killed Rittenhouse and been in the legal right, at that point.
