Maybe we are seeing the first steps to "fix" the Internet toxicity (LSF reddit rules)

Remember 2 months ago when i made a thread here saying the internet was at its "worst" in terms of toxicity and something had to be done urgently to fix it?

Im glad to start seeing some steps in that direction:
As i said in the previous thread:
"this people hide behind the shield of "freedom of speech" to be toxic

And IMO we need right out CENSORSHIP.
Controversial opinion, i know...but what else can we do? Thoughts of some alternatives?

The Livestream Fails subreddit made this announcement...and i would LOVE to see this spread to the Youtube community also

What do you think about this new regulations for this particular subreddit?

    Hello, old man here.

    1. Is LSF special insofar as a reddit? Why does its rule reform mean anything?
    2. Why are these new rules controversial?
    3. How would these rules translate to youtube?

1- Is just a pretty big sub reddit with almost 1 million members

2- The rules dont seem to be out yet...BUT...you can read from the post "harassment will no longer be tolerated against any twitch streamer...while in the past some streamers were allowed to be harassed, i guess?
And any twitch streamer can OPT to not be featured in this sub reddit if he so desires now.
Is controversial because is a form of censorship

3- I would like every type of harassment to be prevented on this platforms...specially youtube channels dedicated to "bash" others and groups of people.

I doubt many here really give a fuck about some random reddit sub's rules.

I may be "stupid" to think this is a big deal.
    But...
One small victory in my book

At least a 1 million member community is fighting against online harassment

LSF is only a sub community of twitch. Wouldn't even call it a major presence on the internet. With that said though, anything move in a positive direction is good.

Toxic people exist with or without the internet, see current events.
LSF isn't toxic but it enables toxic personalities.
I responsible platform doesn't allow toxic personalities to take advantage of it.
