    Check "State of Frost DK in Shadowlands" article on Wowhead, its all explained there.
    Author, unlike the one which did Survival, did exceptional job explaining Frost's state.

    TL;DR:
    Killing Machine procs make Obliterate do Frost Damage.
    DW favors more AOE/Cleave build and Breath since it will have far more RP on the plate.
    2H, fueled by Might of the Frozen Wastes, which increase 2H Obliterate damage by 35%, favors more Obliteration build with big, meaty, frost Obliterates.
    Tho DW can also use that build too, it wont be as effective while 2H is pretty much locked into Obliteration build as it looks like.

    In M+ its pretty much cleave race with rushing to burn down packs of mobs asap and reach boss faster.
    Since 2H favors more Obliteration its favoring Single Target burst more, while DW can achieve quite long Breath windows.

    My guess would be that it's a single target ability and the majority of your interactions in m+ are aoe. So if their primary means of balance are tied to a single target ability to adjust the specs raid prowess, the resulting effect will not show in m+ for the most part.

    As expected, in the final draft the stable beta prot paladin gets massive nerfs to numbers. Increased cd on primary ability, 70% nerf to active mitigation, reduced hopo generation and a 150% nerf to wog bonus heal. And I bet there’s more coming. Gotta keep that prot paladin secured in that C tier.

    Also, all of the Frost DK stuff shows “off hand damage,” but they brought back 2H usage, so where is the calculation for that? Or did I overlook it?

    I guess the upside of having useless Covenant abilities is you can go with whatever Covenant you like the look of.

    To be clear - this appears to have just been a correction to the way the spell was working.
    Before yesterday, you would press the button - the little alter thing would appear, a casting animation would begin, but there was no channeling bar - you could move around while the casting animation continued without the summoning ritual being stopped.

    Now you press the button, it still instantly activates but now has an actual channeling bar, and moving DOES interrupt and end the ritual.

    So it doesn't seem like they really changed or nerfed it at all, it doesn't have a CAST TIME now, it just properly functions the way it was probably intended to in the first place - now it works just like ritual of summoning.

    It doesn't mean they are "useless" in M+ which is the hyperbole the guy was using
    If they are behind DW for M+ but ahead in PVP/raid situations, then it's a pretty fair balance IMO

    My guess would be that it's a single target ability and the majority of your interactions in m+ are aoe. So if their primary means of balance are tied to a single target ability to adjust the specs raid prowess, the resulting effect will not show in m+ for the most part.
    I understand how it works, my point was the guy stated that because of this they would be confirmed as useless in M+ which is overzealous hypberbole.
