Who in their right mind is raid prepping outside of an instance? This is done way before you're about to raid. There is literally 0 benefit when it comes to raids lol. People also were ready to fork over 3mil or 2mil whatever it was for the spider mount and it gave you literally nothing. People just like to spend gold on shinys.

Yes and all this stuff is always bought way way WAY before the raid ever starts, not right when you are outside of the instance. Even top guilds won't be sitting outside the instance and going "Man when this reset opens up I can't wait to mount on my mount and use this AH and get .5 seconds ahead of everyone LOL".

They just make sure it's already in their bags before the raid starts lol.

Mobile guild banks nullify all of these tbh

For me I actually bought it early in BFA just to get the AH. Its very nice for bank alts and the way I play the AH to just do everything with little time wasted. Also to just get +1 on mounts, that also matters a lot. I only use 2 mounts all the time anyway.

They also added a unique water walking mount a few expansions ago and said they learned their lesson... and a reforging mount.

They never removed the water walking mount itself; they removed that functionality because it made an otherwise largely inconsequential mount that most people had anyway the best ground mount to use by merit of the fact that it could walk on water when it was required. And they immediately rolled that functionality into the mount equipment that lets you water walk with any mount.

The reforge vendor was removed because that entire system became obsolete, not because having it on a mount made it game-breaking or an absolutely necessary must-have. Should they have just left an obsolete vendor on the yak just so that they’d never have changed it? The transmog vendor is way more useful.

And it’s not like they added any of these removed things back in for a money purchase only. So your thesis doesn’t really hold water.

I spend 5 Million and basically only for the auction house. As I said before, no problem is they nerf it, just refund the gold. No problem.

My point is that they’ve added mounts with unique functionality before, admitted it was a mistake... then added another mount with unique functionality. It’s too good a gimmick, they’re not gonna stop.

If this were true then things like the repair mount and the transmog mount would also be bye bye.

The functionality you are referring to is something that actually makes people use these mounts if they want to push for something like speed leveling etc. In any New expansion, there’s a fairly good chance that you will be coming in contact with some sort of water, so making sure you’re riding the water mount is basically a given.

At literally no point are you going to NEED a mobile AH to accomplish something in real time. There’s literally no reason to remove this or add it to other mounts for free.

Not sure if it's gonna be months, but I agree with you. It benefits them to have people think that something is exclusive and going away because then people spend hundreds on token sales, but once it is gone, it's gonna be super tempting to bring it back another way to get those sweet token sales rolling again once subs start to flag in a few months. I think they might have another version that costs double the price or something in the future.

Yeah basically anything this guy listed as an 'edge' on other players is simply removed when you just use any common sense work arounds like you mentioned lol. That or just....you know... hearthing to an AH and being summoned back lol.

It would be a modest but clear advantage to progress. Expect to either see more mobile AHs within months or for the item to be nerfed and have something else on it.

I can quickly send stuff that I farm up to a mule/bank alt (especially on an engineer), relog and toss it on the AH in seconds (I have a SSD).

It's not really an advantage, it was a waste of gold and time. I personally know someone who spent half the year farming that stupid mount and being a bum on their parents, when they could have been out looking for a job and preparing for their future. The kicker is, they didn't get nearly all the gold needed in time so they foolishly borrowed the rest of it and now they are going to be someone's farming bitch for much of the next expansion if they don't want to make a bad name for themselves. This is only if their parents don't shut off the Internet, I know that they have had enough of their kid's bullshit.
