Returned to retail after a year hiatus.

Okay, what in the actual fuck is up with the dungeon looking for group? Half of the listings are advertisements for money carries. How can you filter this crud out of there so you can actually do the unthinkable and you know.......find a keystone group?

There's nothing wrong with that. Using clever search terms you can filter that out.

Premade group filter addon will allow you to filter out groups with 1 person which is what most of the selling groups are anyway

    Report it.
Use a term to filter the groups? i.e. +15. KR. ML. +18
There are addons for that too.
tho it's kinda crappy for blizz to not blacklist: wts, selling, carry and all other synonyms or ban ACCOUNTS from creating groups if they have been reported while using one of the key words.

Report it, you are not allowed to advertise in the group finder.

As someone who has done is fair share of selling the problem lies with Blizzard. Rather than saying you can't list in the group finder and then barely enforcing it they should have created a sales section. That way people who are selling could post there and people who are buying had somewhere to look. It's crazy that we still have no section of the group finder for this. If they don't want to do this then they really need to crack down on the people doing what you are complaining about instead of this shitty half measure they have.

You’re assuming they would stick to their section. Most sellers also use trade chat but they’ve branched our to newcomer chat as well - pointless because newbies often won’t be able to afford their services

Since each person could only list it in one section it's not going to hurt the number of people posting in the LFG section.

If they're doing it in Newcomer chat, you should probably report them. Same as you should report the listings in the group finder.

I agree, however let's be real - those individuals would simply come up with a new term every time one was banned. Half the english language would be flagged by the end of the first month. I do agree it should be controlled better, just not sure how.
