New Secret Pet Found - Glimr the Purple Glimmerfin Murloc
Earlier today, a new species of purple Glimmerfin Murloc appeared in game today and it leads to a new pet, Glimr the Glimmerfin Murloc. Here are the steps:

• At coordinates 18.44, 88.22 at Venture Bay in Grizzly Hills you will find a purple Glimmerfin Scout Murloc that runs away and leaves a scale behind that starts a quest.
  
  • Typing /run C_Map.SetUserWaypoint({uiMapID=116,position={x=0.184 ,y=0.882}}) will place a pin on your map to this location.
  • The murloc respawns in about 5 minutes.
• You must accept this quest and go speak to King Mgrl-Mglr at Winterfin Retreat in Borean Tundra.
• He tasks you with going back to the area you found the scale to collect 10 Meaty Crab Chunks from the crabs below the water.
• You then bring them to the Glimmerfin Murloc leader Glimmergut that is stationed inside a sunken ship nearby, and he wants you to obtain a Pile of Blubberfat from a seal named Horker on an iceberg up above.
• You bring this back to the ship and give it to the Glimmerfin Oracle, who then has you collect a Giant Pearl from the water below while avoiding a giant eel named Gem-Eyes.
• Next, you have to face Trainer Grrglin in a pet battle and defeat him. He has 2 aquatic pets and one critter, but is easily defeated.
• Next, you have to collect a Warm Seaweed Stalk, Young Seaweed Stalk, and a Bulbous Seaweed Stalk from an electrified kelp forest. Try to go around the kelp as it hurts you when you touch it.
• The final quest has you slay Great Mua'kin, and your reward is the Glimr's Cracked Egg pet, which teaches the Glimr purple murloc pet.

This seems to be a promotional quest for the new Purple Murloc Funko pop added to the Blizzard Store today.

Apparently he only drops >ONE< scale each time he spawns. The first person to click on it gets it, I believe... there's just a >pile< of people doing all sorts of AoE now.

Beware the fatigue - lots of stuff happens in fatigue areas.

Well - at least 4 people got it when it spawned earlier, certainly not 1, and no - no-one was grouped.

Yeah not the first time it has happened. Remember the Mountain Dew promotion back in like 2009?
