As for the voice, it kinda fits, doesn't it?

Oh just think how cool it would be if Blizzard could produce a character as iconic as Emet.

dragonsworn class with the flights empowering wrathion agents and intro scenario has us interact with PCs through the various points we met
drakonid race obviously
facing three big bad dragon forces (infinite, galakrond, chromatus)
scarlet crusade story with a black dragon possibly serves as our intro to the expansion

And people were saying Dark Ranger is just a Hunter when we get mage 2.0 as a new class when there's already a bunch of spellcasters and only 1 archer archetype.

A character that isn't a simple archetype. WoW had a few unique and iconic characters, but they've burned through all of them... and even then, they were still pretty archetypal.

It doesn't look half bad in that picture but it still uses an existing skeleton which no main race ever did. So are we going to get the Shadowlands races, too? Or is getting a new class and new race in the same xpac something Blizzard can't do anymore? (MOP days).

Over the course of like half an expansion he got so memorable that even as a cloaked and hooded ghost he was recognized from his gestures alone. Also according to a poll made in Japan before the patch with that scene, he ranked as the sixth most popular Final Fantasy character across all the franchise, beating all the villains and most of the heroes.
