What is the best free video game you have ever played?

Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.Though not my favorite video game. I do think it is as close to a perfect example of what a video game is as anything ever made. Flawless design.

Free as in flash? Or "technically" free like owning a Psplus sub and getting games?

If the former: Age of War, Frontier 2, Realm of the Mad God, NGU Idle.

If the latter: Spy Chameleon, Ratchet & Clank, The Uncharted Trilogy

There are many types of free..

Truly Free (always free) - 3 out of 10
free for a time - GTA5 (was free on epic game store a few months ago)
Free to play - gears pop
Something I got free for whatever random reason (won a steam code) - destiny 2
Something free as part of a service (eg game pass) - slay the spire.

Even though I don't really like Destiny 2 anymore, I'd go with the portion of Destiny 2 that is free to play.

I don't consider old Nintendo games free, because they cost money, but yep most Zeldas are better than Destiny 2, lol.
