Is this body type one or body type two? Need to relearn these identities so I don't get canceled.

This is certainly a mystery that shows clear body type double standards. Why would Blizzard create these new double standards after just unifying us all on body type representation?
To be fair, both body types have two different styles of bottom underwear. Which, again, is that something we ever really needed?

If dragons can transform into pretty much anything, why can't dracthyr choose any playable race for their visage? Is there some lore reason why they're limited to human and elven features?

This is something I find strange as well, it just seems like such an obvious solution.
You could let players pick any existing race, it would make perfect sense, it would basically require no developer time and players would have every existing option available.

And it would look good, because the visage's they made look awful, the male ones in particular, even if that's besides the point.

Chromie and Ebonhorn are the exception, not the rule. Most people don't want to be gnomes and tauren.

Blizzard is going to love throwing around “over a quadrillion customizations!”…

Is that because they’re counting pronouns into the equation? Easily multiplies the amount of options by 4 with zero effort, and a cheap gimmick to make it appear as though blizzards been “hard at work”…

Pronouns Body type + dragon/human form.. all these things and more I don’t care to post all greatly inflate the “customizations” without really offering much. Just a ton of layers without many choices to artificially inflate the numbers. I don’t expect more than 20/30 mostly similar options per “customizable” aspect that actually matters.

We already know every game that touts “bajillions” of customization options is nothing more than smoke and mirrors. Tiny, barely noticeable variations just to pad the numbers.

    It's alopecia inclusive.

When you get sued for having a toxic work environment this is what happens.

That looks like complete garbage, maybe ditch the whole design and let us pick a race instead. You know like how dragons do.

  10. #50
I don't totally hate these, but I wish they'd let players choose between these designs and the normal playable race designs. I think it'd be a really cool addition if you could also just have your visage be a normal race like the other dragons of Warcraft lore.

They look awful imo... Also completely redundant.
I can't fathom why they are limited to real life human skin colours when they are a made up race creating made up visages. Imagine a dragon choosing a human form to blend in in orgrimmar, and also choosing to expose as many draconic features as possible while hiding their true form, it's stupid.

They could have let dracthyr choose any race but ignore the racial abilities for that specific class, the visage can be whatever the dragon wants anyway why limit it to a race of creatures that didn't even exist at the time of their creation!

This isn't what this game needed.

I'm not sure about the less ugly part, but I agree on the different game. They look like straight out of some asian mobile game, and not in the good way.
I hope there will at least be one face option that is not full on gremlin. I think I vastly prefer just the recylced male belf (edit: ), though that one also looks really horrible unless you mange to hide as much of the face under (facial) hair as possible.

Because they aren't real dragons, they are a (failed) experiment of Deathwing. They are supposedly super soldier draconids that ended up weaksauce casters for the most part. I mean I really have to wonder what is the point of a race that adopts to bipedal movement and then doesn't even use tools? Getting clawed/buffeted by a normal size dragon or even just a drake would be way more devestating and they can use magic perfectly fine as well. I'm so curious if it is intended or not, but it can see why Deathwing tried to make proper chromatic dragons later on.

You are welcome, Metzen. I hope you won't fuck up my underground expansion idea.

It looks like they are taken from a mobile game.

Because if Blizzard did this, the vocal anti-blizzard crowd will complain about how lazy they are for reusing assets and it was a low effort race

Mostly terrible. Why do the human forms look like a crappy makeup cosplay from Twitter.

  16. #56
    Once again, the same face.
For trying to be inclusive they sure focus on making everyone to be a model.

  17. #57
    looks absolutely terrible

I hate both body types. So damn ugly. I want my Dracthyr to look like a big beefy dude not some effeminate looking soy toy.

So this is confusing, will there be a male human model to accompany the female human model? And vise versa will there be a female elf model to accompany the male one? Very oddly selective to choose male elf and female human :P
