Reverse Raid idea... Hear me out...

    Its very simple.

We play as the antagonists and the point is to defeat a group of powerful "heroes" who are trying to murder us just to steal our gear, gold and mounts we have collected.

We will be OP as hell but, still defeatable. Our spells will have CD's and it'll all work the same.

    Thoughts?

I'd rather not. An encounter where the incentive would be to lose but not lose immediately? Just... why

That kind of thing works as a quest but not as a raid.

Will we be able to roam and evolve by eating deer and buy new costumes for 3.99?

We did that in the Illidan storyline in Legion. We actually played as him fighting and losing to a raid team atop Black Temple. Blizzard had a lot of fun making fun of the players in it. Even had some dumbasses and some folks sitting afk off in the distance getting killed.
The most difficult thing to do is accept that there is nothing wrong with things you don't like and accept that people can like things you don't.

So... it's a raid with no rewards?

That's basically faction champions from trial of the crusader though? I don't see how is it any different...

The closest thing to being a raid boss was in original Ashran, getting all the buffs and Ancient Relic.

No thanks, really. Maybe as a small dungeon but even so, we, the players, are the heroes (sadly) so maybe change it for us being the 'villains' from a retelling of a story about the Horde/Alliance against a group of a lesser species like Gnoll/Troggs/Quilboar and we have to repel them as we have encroached on their territory - the stories being told by The Explorer's League/The Reliquary/The Lorewalkers that you find in certain areas, all having different ways of telling their stories but with twists to it.

Whether it is a solo or a group of five, each member of the group has to select what kind of "threat" they are going to be from the selection of, Horde/Alliance {insert any class from said faction} with the chance of taking control of abilities within the options of said class of choice. Then giving the chance of adding fun selection options by collecting rare world drops (BoEs) to unlock named characters like Garrosh, Grommash, Khadgar, Shaw, Sylvanas, Jaina, Cairne, Vol'jin, Nomi, Chromie, Neltharion, etc, etc.

Granting various stages of rewards depending on completion. The longer you last, the better. Achievements are offered for the initial completion of each difficulty, and then one for having been in all of the faction's available classes, another one for having completed it with five or more of the special characters, and one for finding all the rare characters, and a final for having completed it all as a meta with the reward of a title and a cosmetic outfit or mount.

Basically, like your idea, but with a twist of making it light-hearted.

We had that quest once where we were Illidan and saw a bunch of random silly heroes try to kill us. It was very fun.

The worst story idea ever - don't know what kind of a writer can pull it off.

Trademark problems due to idenity crisis of WoW in general.

    Who is the audiance again?

    Otherwise, the best idea ever.

Dude, the WoW playerbase is comprised of thousands of micro-audiences all clamoring for frequently opposite things. Any time someone says something like "nobody asked for this" or "who is the audience" you can immediately write it off, since the fact that thread exists means someone wants it.
