I mean, Costa Rica is basically in the group of death and they are definitely not a powerhouse. Unlucky draw, they would have a much better shot at getting out of groups in groups A, B, and C. They are still not 100% out, anyway. Canada lost its chances because of undeserved loss to Belgium. USA qualified. Wouldn't say it's a bad region, after all, especially considering how young Canada and USA teams are. Mexico are the only real losers, they mostly dominated Poland in their match and should have scored, and they were still extremely close to qualifying.
