I have an issue i'd like to get some help with, if anyone's in the know on the subject. I've been using Serenity focus bar on my hunter for a while, and i'm very happy with it. However, i've realized that i don't really need the focus/energy bar at all, and would like to replace it with just a number displaying my current energy number. Is there a way to modify serenity for this to work without installing new addons, or is there a very lightweight addon out there with the purpose of displaying this?

All right, i have one more. Does anyone know of a lightweight castbar addon with just that - a castbar with the option to scale opacity from 0-100%?

Has anyone been able to convince Vhei (from <Legion of Shadow> on Dentarg) to release his latest UI, or at least manage to mostly replicate it? ( http://sixpop.com/files/28/cataC.png )

A UI like this is perfect for my needs, but I am not fluent in any LUA programming languages to make my own UI since early 3.2 days.

While I did not see that invitational, it could have been an internal one used by blizzard.
There is one I have seen regularly which as far as I know has never been released.

The font for the timers in that location looks to be that used by default for PowerAuras if I remember correctly.

That was what i thought as well, it is the icons that eludes me.

Currently using an addon called Hermes to track Hand of Sac, Pain Sup and GS while tanking. The addon has not been updated and currently bugs when the players cd's it is tracking are not in immediate range. Looking for a different lightweight addon to use in place of it.

I post here in the hope that someone could help me with an addon problem:

Ever since I started playing wow, i used an addon called BGminimapPlayerTracker: (.curseforge.com/addons/bgminimapplayertracker/)

witch was wonderful as it added to the tooltip of the minimap, aside the player's name, it added it's class .. very useful in any PvP situation in Battlegrounds.
Sadly the add-on is not updated since mid 2010, and even sadder, since patch 4.3 it's not working. As far as I can tell it has something to do with the little arrows, that the new mini-map uses for elevation.

I hope that someone here knows how to fix this, or Knows of any other add-ons, that would do the same thing.

It's also worth mentioning that I tried the minimaptarget (.curse.com/addons/wow/minimap-target) add-on, witch can do something similar, but it's a lot more complex, and it actually requires a mouse click on the minimap blimps to open another drop down menu, with various targeting options in it. (Highly impractical in PVP situations, where you need information quickly)

I'd really appreciate a piece of advice on this one.

Hey, I was wondering if there are any addons with functionality similar to that provided by event horizon (I can't of course post links yet, but it is one of the first results that pops up if you search for "event horizon continued") Specifically, I like that the length of each bar is relative to the actual duration/cooldown of the individual spell and that each bar indicates the upcoming ticks of its respective spell.

I know that even horizon is still compatible in some form, but I do like having multiple addon options if at all possible (plus my impression is that event horizon does not have quite the same amount of support that it used to have).

Unfortunately the only addon that springs to mind for displaying ticks on periodic damage abilities or dots is ForteXorcist, an addon I personally find excessive and rather bloated.
I have been looking for an alternative for that same reason of the ticks, but have yet to find one that replicates it.
Seemingly a later release of PowerAuras will support a scripting and template system which should according to the author allow creation of tick tracking on a bar, which they explained when I asked about such a feature.
As for when that will be released then I could only guess with the 5.x patch or MoP.
