Are they item enhancements or something? Or do you pop them like you would use a scroll and they last a certain amount of time?

Take a break from politics once in awhile, it's good for you.
3 greater and 3 minor, but close enough.Originally Posted by Karadros

To be fair, this is news to me even though I thought I had been keeping up :-X
Also, another dumb question: do we know yet which glyphs are major and which are minor? I can try to guess by looking at effects, but I've been wondering if I've been missing some glaring feature of the posts.
we know most of mage glyphs

other than that, not known yet
at what level can you use these glyphs? will we able to use them in 3.0 at 70?
I think of them as enchants for your WHOLE CHARACTER.
Some of the better ones are the equivilent of high level talents.

I believe Glyphs will be available in Patch 3.0 as will the inscription profession to train them. However as yet there is no word of any Inscription trainers in the old world or outlands, so you would have to travel to Northrend to train inscription, as Northrend is not available that means no inscription which means no glyph creation possible.
HOWEVER - this is beta THINGS CHANGE - so it is entirely possible/likely that if they include inscription in patch 3.0 then they will include inscription trainers in old world cities and thus people can train it and create the new glyphs. Having said that it is of course likely that the recipes for glyphs that people would actually want will only be available from vendors in Northrend, or as new instance drops.
