My ui in a video, I don't normally play demo so skill/setup ect are not that amazing.

Imo it would look a lot better if your own UF looks more like the target UF. Functionality wise the target UF seems a lot easier to catch info.
And I'd place the minimap in the typical top-right corner and align the buffs with it.

Oh and do you have those actionbars? And especially they keybindings? It would look a lot better if you'd show only important CD's and make the CD timer like you have the keybind text now.

Just my 2 cents.

I agree by some degree (lol). The fact is that experimenting with UI is good while you are the only user. Most of the people don't like minimalism, while they in fact like to have redundant information on their screens (and thus they give birth to orrendous abominations).

Player frames is like this cause i find rectangular standard frames kinda "boring", and i'm not so good at designing decorations. When i decided to release my work, i had to decide between "do what i like and never change" and "do what people like and change accordingly".

I'm just looking for a neat compromise

I'm pretty content with it where it is now. Still trying to find the perfect place for Grid (just joined a 25 man guild, and it's a bit different than 10 man.)

Things not shown: Target (located directly to the right of my nameplate) and holy power bar (it's actually a Triforce that goes right above the nameplates, centered between mine/target)

Not bad, but try to use the same font through all your UI, it will look much better imho.

heres mine, fairly old sccreenshot but i dont have any of it in a raid sorry
to the right of action bars i have recount, omen and grid.
and cast bars just under the unit frames
dont have as many action bars now either since i had them all showing while i was learning some new key binds.

Hmm what? I think Skurri is the ugly default font, I meant the Scrolling Combat Text stuff where it says CreativeName and 22286 Fireball etc. :P

You probably had to rename it to Skurri so the game could recognize it for damage.

It's called Jacinto Sans. The file is just named skurri.ttf to replace the one in your fonts folder.

Kripparrian plays with an almost identical UI but it hasn't been updated in months plus i play on a lower res so I had to make my own.
