PvP is quite fail.. Also, out of date, there are only 3 ranks in Righteous Vengenace for instance.

Also, use a talent calculator, a lot easier to see ^^

Re: Good Retri specs for PvP/PvE

As I said yesterday, inspect my specs. Main is Ret PvE and alternate is Ret PvP. These are the two most recommended specs for a Ret. Armory link is in my signature. You are wasting 10 points in the holy tree to get Imp LoH which is just a terrible idea.

The prot talents that you can reach after getting all of the DPS boosts from ret are far better than those reachable in holy. Vindication does not work in PvE on 99.9% of raid mobs.

Going 18 points into the prot tree for your PvP spec is terrible if you aren't picking up Improved Hammer of Justice. Righteous Vengeance is bad in Arena because it breaks Repentance/Blind/Sheep

    No, they're both bad.

Re: Good Retri specs for PvP/PvE

Use a calculator for christ sake, nobody wants to read through that. From what I understand from the other posts here you failed at the specs actual viability too.

This bro told a cool story on 2009-12-03 and proudly took part in the banfest.

all i get is shit but with this spec i do about 3k dps in 10 mans so dont give my posts shit unless you know that its really not good cause i know thats an improvement and the 12 points i have in holy theres not really any better place to put them nothing good for raids in the prot tree i filled all the dps talents in ret and the divine intel is good for me i really think you should try something befor you complain about it failing.

ok your wasting 5 points on your ret tree
POJ not needed for pve and neither is DS and DG unless you plan on tanking as ret...

What you don't understand is that the difference between your spec and a good one is not DPS, but utility that is called Divine Sacrifice, and Divine Guardian is very good so you can keep Divine Shield up on you.

We don't need no 500 additional mana or a totally pointless LoH cooldown reduction. Seals of the Pure is also more pointless than any others. All of this makes no difference and doesn't help anyone at all, while DS and DG can be of great assistance, and I consider a Ret complete fucking moron if they don't keep DS up on them most of the time as well, especially when it lasts 1 minute.

And Pursuit of Justice not needed for PvE? Shit, man. You actually pick improved LoH and think PoJ is not worth it... You are hopeless.

Divine Sacrifice. AKA AoE Bubble Sac. Your raids will love you for it. There are tons of actual uses for this, whether it's sucking 40% damage from the entire raid or even as a clutch shield wall for your tanks.

Divine Guardian helps too. Makes your DS more powerful, and also improves your Sacred Shield enough to be worth more to keep up all the time. You can throw it on yourself or someone else, but it helps survivability somewhere just a little bit.

I run that build currently, it's a little more pve based then some would like and a little less pvp based then some would like, but currently it works for me and I like a little group pvp (BG's and WG). I'll probably take up DSac soon though because guild is using me in 10 Uld and it is a raid/tank saver, may also pick up DPurpose as well. Only been 80 for about 3 weeks now so still playing with build.

Get that point out of Command, NOW and back in Improved Judgement. Not only is missing on improved judgement as ret a sin, but Command totally sucks in both pve and pvp (martyr is the way to go).

Re: Good Retri specs for PvP/PvE

Yeah the point in command is only used for certain fights to give the healer a little break, I had only just added it to help out lol, I also do use martyr because it is better constant dps, as for the judgement, 2 spells on same cooldown doesn't really tickle my fancy at the moment but that's personal choice on my part but I may put the point back in, but thanks again for pointing out martyr lol

As long as you are Judging Light, and using SS on yourself, the self-damage from Martyr will take care of itself.

This is the Spec i use: http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?pala...0&version=9889

You definitely want the Exorcism and Judgment Glyphs, the 3rd glyph you can choose between Seal of blood or Consecration glyph.

As for the minor's, you want Sense undead and the Lay on hands glyph since their the only useful ones we have. I personally use the glyph of blessing of might for when im doing dailies and dont want to use a reagent.
