the dmg was high, but combat has always had high dmg, it just lacks the utilitiy for arena

well I guess you did okay for the first time, but it is the ptr and combat is so not viable for actual Pvp anymore since the nerf to the fan of knives. (the interrupt not the damage) :-X

Not true; Mace spec is still really strong versus plate teams if you don't want to run 44/2/25. Just because FoK had an interrupt, doesn't mean that you needed to just go ,"LOL SPAM FOK 4 WIN!".

Mace spec Combat has a lot going for it- 2 minute Sprints that break roots/snares, 2 minute Evasions, a non-dispellable snare, 15% armor ignore, Adrenaline Rush as a burst cooldown, Blade Flurry to pressure a single target or to hit multiple targets and not have to swap to apply wound, Riposte and its attack speed slow versus other melee, Savage Combat if you're Cleaving, etc...

51/20 works great, it is, however, reliant on a healer moreso than other specs- no Quick Recovery, no Fleet Footed snare reduction, no Deadly Brew, no dispell protection for poisons, etc. Quite frankly, it's not all that bad.
