Here are a bunch of useful PVP Macros for frost:

    Multi Target Deep Freeze:
    #showtooltip Deep Freeze
    /cast [nomod:alt,target=mouseover,exists] Deep Freeze
    /cast [nomod:alt,target=target] Deep Freeze
    /cast [mod:alt,target=focus] Deep Freeze
***(First attempts to DF your mouseover if it exists, otherwise DFs your target. Holding alt while using this macro will DF your focus)

    Frostbolt with Pet attack:
    #showtooltip
    /cast Frostbolt
    /stopmacro [target=pettarget, exists]
    /cast Waterbolt
***(Will cause your pet to attack your current target whenever you attempt to Frostbolt. Useful for making swaps when your ele is out)

    Icelance with Mouseover and Cancelaura
    #showtooltip
    /cancelaura Ice Block
    /cancelaura Invisibility
    /cast [target=mouseover,exists] Ice Lance
    /cast [target=target] Ice Lance
***(Priority on mouseover if exists, otherwise casts icelance on your target. Using this macro will cancel Ice Block and Invis if they are active [this is useful as it removes the fear of removing either spell prematurely by spamming they key if the cancel aura is bound with the spellcast])

    Multitarget Poly
    #showtooltip
    /petpassive
    /cast [nomod:alt,target=mouseover,exists] Polymorph
    /cast [nomod:alt,target=target] Polymorph
    /cast [mod:alt,target=focus] Polymorph
***(Same function as Deep Freeze macro)

    Arena Target Poly
    #showtooltip
    /petpassive
    /cast [target=arena1] Polymorph
***(Casts poly on the first target on your enemy arena frames)
*****(Replace "arena1" with "arenaX" (where X = 1 to 5 for other targets)

these are all very useful PvP macros. i suggest any mage who wants to start PvP copy these and become familiar with them, they can increase your throughput in arenas and BGs.

    /use [mod:alt] 13
    /cast [nomod] Arcane Blast

What I want to do is add a yell or emote on the Alt click but no matter what I try it wont work.

Anyone know how to make that work?
It would be something like this:

    /cast [nomod:alt] Arcane Blast
    /stopmacro [nomod:alt]
    /cast Mirror Image
    /cast Arcane Power
    /cast Icy Veins
    /use 13
    /use 14
    /y <your text here>

But I don't think, that you should use an emote/text, since it may annoy some people, hearing it at least twice every 3 minutes.

Got question, take a look at these two macros (assuming I'm iceblocked):

    Code:
    /cancelaura Ice Block
    /cast Blink
    Code:
    /cancelaura Ice Block
    /cast Arcane Barrage
First one works nicely, second one doesn't. Now question is, how to check which spells would work in this way and which wouldn't ? I'm rather not planning on checking every single spell from spellbook, waiting 4 minutes everytime for iceblock cd to wen off.

/cancel aura+ice lance maros have worked for ages, so it's all about actually targeting something when you're ice blocked.

Didn't try with ice lance, but with few other spells (instant and casted) - tried on target dummies and didn't work

could possibly be because of the CD on arcane barrage, but i'm not sure. haven't heard of that problem and i don't have an arcane offspec to try it out myself.

First of all, you can't use 2 on-use trinkets at the same time as they'll invoke a small (10 seconds iirc) on each other so for maximum fwhoosh, it won't work.

Second of all, don't macro MI with other spells as you'll waste a GCD of CD time on casting MI. Cast MI first and then use the macro.
It's the internet. You never know if people are either sarcastic or just bad.

I wouldn't make such an obvious mistake, guess I'm gonna ask on wow forums about it.
I checked it with few spells, and so - works with counterspell and blink, doesn't with arcane barrage, spellsteal, mirror image, mana shield, PoM, and i think it didn't for nova aswell... Gives "can't do that when invulnerable" message.

    EDIT:
Well it didn't work with ice lance either, so i guess we were talking about different effect - I expected it to work on one key press.

can someone help me with a macro?

working on a macro which lets me dismount, slowfall, PoM and Poly....

    got the following:

    /dismount
    /cast slowfall
    /cast Presence of Mind
    /cast Polymorph

but somehow it doesnt cast polymorph and PoM

can someone help me with this?
i would like to use this in world pvp (WG) or AV, but then without the slowfall...

slow all triggers a GCD, so nothing after that will cast.

make 2 macros-one for dismount slowfall, one for POM poly. then it will work. yours would require a castsqeuence, which would make it even more annoying.

    Very nice thread.

unless you add a line in the macro that specifically switches targets, a standard focus cast polymorph macro should do the trick.

Yes, it's very easy and if you want to be able to go anywhere with creating useful macros by yourself, you will have to master this type of command,

    #showtooltip
    /cast [target=focus,exists,nodead,harm]Polymorph, Polymorph

that will cast poly on your focus if you have a hostile focus that is alive, otherwise it will cast it on your target.

You can replace the 'target=' with '@' (@focus, etc.). Very handy for squeezing more utility into a single macro if you find yourself short on keybind space.

isnt there a way to add the brain freeze procc to a spammable frostbolt macro?

    #showtooltip Frostbolt
/cast Fireball if UnitIsEnemy("player", "target") and HasFullControl() and GetSpellCooldown("Fireball!")
    /cast Frostbol

i tried this but this only spams frostbolt

I'm looking for a macro that will auto cast Hot Streak Pyro's when they proc. I know that the human reaction time is like .2 seconds, and even more than that when under the influence (lets be honest, we all raid a bit drunk from time to time). With Fireballs being like 1.8s, if a HS procs in the last 10-20% I end up missing it.

A macro that would be attached to my main Fireball nuke with some sort of "if buff = hot streak, then cast Pyroblast, else cast Fireball" would be awesome. I know the quote looks more like programming code, but I'm not an awesome macro maker lol.
