Whats the reason behind this??

Does somebody know why trolls are jamacian and dwarfs are scotisch??
Is that done more because they found it funny or does it actually make sense.
And why are only those two and not the others.

Actually if you pay close attention to the majority of the Ironforge dwarves their accent is Scottish, though allot of the Airie Peak dwarves tend to have a more Irish accent.

that might be cozz they are 2 defferent clans, the ones in aerie peak are wildhammer dwarfs (like the ones in SMV) and the ones in IF are bronzebeard dwarfs. but im not sure if that has anything to do with the accent :P

Well, Dwarves probably have Scottish accents because, traditionally, that's what they sound like. Take Lord of the Rings for example. Or any number of movies with traditional type Dwarves. Always Scottish.

As for the Trolls, I imagine it's because they live in tropical, island type settings that are comparable to the Caribbean.

Trolls - Jamaican
Humans - Generic American-English accent
Tauren and Night Elves - Similar, but not the same, sort of sage, calm sounding English, dunno whether to actually call it an accent.
Orcs - Gruff generic barbarian accent
Undead - Hissy, guttural undead-y accent
Blood Elves - Snobby, fake, terrible British accent attempt (I think...)
Gnomes - High pitched squealy voices, what you'd expect from a gnome
